Transguild Courier is all colors (even when being searched in Gatherer).

Magic is based on the five colors. It would only gain +5/+5. Also, anything with any Protection, from any color, could block it repeatedly. It is better used with cards like Bloom Tender like Etregan said.

Wonder if this is what the new Eldrazi will look like. It'll probably be this, colorless cost for mutlicolored card, or just completely colorless. Interesting either way.

He's somewhat better than scrapbasket, in a way, but Scuttlemutt is cool too.
How about Spreading Plague, this would whoop in there. First make a colorless deck, which is now a lot easier with the Eldrazi, (and of course artifacts). Once you get Spreading Plague out, you can use any Tinkering you have in your deck and play these. I think a formidable deck could be developed.
He likes any of the Lieges or enchantments/creatures that have "whenever you play a COLOR spell..."

Question: As an EDH general, does he count as colorless or all colors?

"Question: As an EDH general, does he count as colorless or all colors?" ~VoidedNote
First off, he cannot be an EDH general, as he is not legendary, but hypothetically if he were, yes, he would count as all five colors, just as his printed text says.
That sounds along the lines of both bosh and memnarch as EDH generals, both of whom now can be, along with the other 3? legendary creatures with different colors in their textbox.
Can't wait until they actually put color indicators on Gatherer. I want to see the beach ball this guy is getting. It'll be like the Mac waiting indicator!

We won't get to see the beach ball until (and unless) they reprint this, though, since that just goes on the card. Gatherer just has the words.

@voidednote - it is impossible for the courier to be an EDH general as he is not legendary.
If you play with this printing (without the color indicator), R&D's Secret Lair would give it infinite P/T.

"First off, he cannot be an EDH general, as he is not legendary, but hypothetically if he were, yes, he would count as all five colors, just as his printed text says."
Bovine excrement... if there are no colored mana symbols, he's colorless for the purpose of EDH. Unless there is some obscur rule, simply stating that the card is "all colors" does not overrule the fact that the colors you play is dictated by the colored mana symbols.
If I'm wrong then the rules should be a lot more clear that the color of the general isn't based on the mana symbols but rather the color of the permanent (which uses mana symbols to determine it).
Otherwise what happens if WotC prints a Legendary Creature that costs 1 and "This card is Blue"... hell would break loose, that's what.
The opposite example is Ghostfire. Unless someone can find me an obscur rule that states otherwise, it can only be used in an EDH deck with a general that has . It doesn't matter if the spell itself is colorless... Ghostfire is "red" for the purpose of inclusion in your deck.

Whoa there Kragash. Lets look at the official EDH rules, hmm?
3. A card's colour identity is its colour plus the colour of any mana symbols in the card's rules text. A card's colour identity is established before the game begins, and cannot be changed by game effects. The Commander's colour identity restricts what cards may appear in the deck.
* Cards in a deck may not have any colours in their identity which are not shared with the commander of the deck. (The identity of each card in the deck must be a subset of the General's) * Lands whose type includes swamp, island, plains, forest and/or mountain (e.g.: basic lands, shocklands, dual lands, Shadowmoor special-basics, etc) DO contain the corresponding mana symbol(s) as per CR 305.6. As such, while they are "colourless" they do have a colour identity and may not appear in a deck unless the Commander is of the appropriate identity. * While hybrid mana symbols may be played with either colour mana, they contribute both colours to the card's colour identity. Therefore they may only be played with a Commander whose identity includes ALL of the hybrid symbols' colours.
Emphasis on the first line. " A card's colour identity is its colour plus the colour of any mana symbols in the card's rules text" Our Courier here is 5 colors, so despite costing colorless, his Color Identity is all 5 colors.

So if this card is reprinted in the new block, the colour indicator will be split 5 ways?
Don't know what I'd fill the rest of the deck with, but throwing all those rings on him at once would be amazing.

@kragash: "Otherwise what happens if WotC prints a Legendary Creature that costs {1}{R}{R}{R} and "This card is Blue"" - common sense would say his color identity would be {U}{R} but the official rules say that it's determined by the color of the card (in this case {U}) and the casting cost, despite having {R} in it is not part of the rules text, so going by the strict interpretation of the rules the color identity is {U}.. damn unplayable general he'd be.
The reason the rules don't account for situations like that is because no such cards exist; color indicators are used only for cards with no colored mana cost, because otherwise the colors of the mana cost determine the colors of the card. If such a card (a {U} card with a casting cost of {1}{R}{R}{R} for example) were printed the rules would probably be amended to account for it.

Actually there are other creatures that can be all colors until the EOT and I think it takes just one mana.
@adrian.malacoda @kragash Actually, the coloured mana cost, and the colour of the card, are BOTH taken into account by commander rules.
The commanders colour doesn't decide the deck, it's COLOUR IDENTITY does (this is a special rules term only used in commander)
903.4. The Commander variant uses color identity to determine what cards can be in a deck with a certain commander. The color identity of a card is the color or colors of any mana symbols in that card's mana cost or rules text, plus any colors defined by its characteristic-defining abilities (see rule 604.3) or color indicator (see rule 204).
This creature is now vanilla, because of the color indicator. Also, I love the concept and flavor.

Why has no one mentioned Knight of New Alara? Seriously, that makes this card legitimately insane. I mean Come on, he's immune to Doom Blade, Go for the Throat, even a lot of larger removal spells. It would take something like an Auger Spree to kill this thing, and that won't work up against this and knight of new Alara. Throw in a Rancor and start beating the shit out of things.

Then combo it with a Dulux colour chart. Transguild courier is all the colours on it and gains +God only knows what/+God only knows what.:p
