Making your creature an Ophidian-Specter is great, but you need some kind of evasion on it already. Dimir Infiltrator is a good card to play this on - making it 3/5 with two awesome abilities when it makes it through the red zone. As always, though, beware of removal.

As obvious as it sounds, playing this with ghastlord of Fugue is stupid good...it turns Ghastlord of Fugue, an already great unblockable, into a monster that can hit hard, and force your opponent to discard 2 cards while you draw one.
That's ridiculous. lol.

As said before this card is almost abusivley good with the ghastlord itself compared to some of the avatars enchantments. The ghastlord lets you select and exile one card from their hand, and the enchantment makes them discard another one. Oona is also a blue/black creature that works with this card if you need more options.

this is my favorite of this equipment cycle. The best use I've found for it is on sphinx ambassador in a multi-player game. 3 damage to each opponent so they each discard a card and you get up to 7
Another good pick is Nemesis of Reason. Like if ten card discar wouldn't be enough.

Milling and discarding are two different things. That aside, the effects of this aura are overwhelming; though my fear of the always detrimental 2-for-1 will keep me playing Mask of Riddles over this.
Actually @FaceClaimer, you don't need Mind over Matter. This on Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind is an infinite combo already assuming you have more cards in library than your opponent's life total. Mind over Matter is another infinite combo with Niv-Mizzet which doesn't involve you drawing tons of cards. you don't need both at once.
My favorite target is probably Nekusar, the Mindrazer though. "Whenever an opponent draws a card they discard a card and you draw a card?" Seems fine. Especially when you have a Liliana's Caress out.
That being said, 4-cost enchantments that don't have some way to protect themselves are often sad. However, if you manage to trigger it once, you're out of the woods card-advantage wise, which makes this better than some of the other dual-color auras from this block.
Lifelink, first strike, double strike, trample, indestructible, flying, deathtouch, vigilance, shroud, haste Whenever this creature deals combat damage to an opponent, draw a card. Whenever this creature deals combat damage to an opponent, that player discards a card. This creature can't be blocked. All creatures able to block this creature do so. R/W: This creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn. 24/24
