Works in ninja decks because you can swing in your ninjas in the early turns, then toss him aside for something better later with the transmute (like a doom blade or a counterspell, just in case or something)

Perfect for a Ninja deck, but not for this Ninja deck, as the only thing worth transmuting it for is Baleful Strix. If the deck used Mana Leak instead of Cancel, and Doom Blade instead of Assassinate, it would be perfect.

does it have to b a car that is blue/black like "glimpse the unthinkable" or can it just be something costing two mana, like "mindshrieker"
im running a black/bue mill deck and id like to know my options

@TurboBaby: Same converted mana cost. It could cost , it could cost , anything with a total converted mana cost of 2. That said, Glimpse the Unthinkable is a solid choice.

I am thinking about using this card to pull Mind Grind into my hand. However its mana cost is island Swamp and X. Can I still uses this to pull the card as X is something you pump up rather than a specific mana cost?
