Card advantage, Dimir style.

Where do you see batman? It bothers me when people have always to see references (seldom from mainstream american pop "culture") where there isn't any trace at all...

As I already said in the original printing comments, great card! Second A3Kitsune!

Just a vicious card if it starts getting through early enough or they're a control deck.

Obvious combo with whispersilk cloak.

@leomistico Doesn't look like he said anything about seeing Batman. There is a nice "if" in that post, though. Great word, "if."

Sweet merciful McGillicuddy. And it's in the colors that kill blockers and counter spells. This thing must subsist solely on the tears of opponents.

Whispersilk Cloak? Not as much as Helm of the GhastLord. That draws tears...

Just curious why you say diregraf, cutpurse is a spirit, you must be high. drogskol captain? much better albeit wrong colors but you can figure this out. unless you are that high.

Still think if a Ravnican Batman were made, it would get a 5/5.

But I thought of a better comment on this card:

Drogskol Captain. Because fu*k you.

It's combos like that that make me wanna say....SCOOBY DOO, WHERE ARE YOU?! =O

(yeah oops I said Diregraf the first time bc I was confusing the colors. It is worth splashing into 3 colors to do this though, and then you have an excuse to run Punish Ignorance :)

And now, we have Call of the Nightwing! :O TELL me you would not Encode that onto whichever creature you would like to become Batman? :D

Possibly my favorite creature ever printed. Pro tip: use with Distortion Strike.

I wanna like this guy, but the term 'Draw a card' on a permanent tends to get it marked for removal pretty quickly. Plus, you have to give him some kind of support.

I'm comparing him to Child of Night, who has a similar function in that it's got that 'Do you really want to lose a creature to prevent a measly two damage and me getting two life?' ability. This can't boast the same, since the ability is so good you WILL trade the creature. With the Child, a lot of people I saw playing it had it quite late into the game, by which time it had already hit at least twice, then chump blocked for 4 damage, 6 life and damage prevention.

Give him Mask of Riddles, watch your opponents sweat. He does need a boost sadly, but he rocks with it. In fact, isn't that Mastery enchantment in this deck? Perfect target.

If you run grixis colors, it's not too terrible to give it haste when your opponent's guard is down; allowing the easy 2-for-0 and quickly flipping a game on it's head.
