This is my favorite card of all time! Fun to play and random wins just happen!

If you would show me this card and ask me to rate it. i'd rate it poorly. but I've seen some good decks build with it. SO I'll give it a medium score.

The best combo enabler (in terms of balance, flavor, fun, and power) ever made.

Mind Over MatterMost players seem to agree, it is the most versatile combo enabler in all of MTG currently. So many cards rely on tapping, or untapping, and many powerful cards make untapping impossible, or difficult, to balance said power. But what about overcoming the cost of tapping or untapping? When I find a wonderful card like this, I see how it detracts from my deck, and I compensate for it. In this card's case, I must discard a card. First I want to find a way where discarding is not an issue, second, I want to find a way to replenish my cards to continue discarding, and finally, find a way to exploit this to my advantage over my current opponent. Making card discard not an issue is easy enough, good old Library of Leng takes care of that. Now for the fun part, figuring out a way to get steady card draw, as well as exploiting the ability to untap all day long! The quickest way for card draw is one card, or a card like it, Arcanis the Omnipotent . Let's draw three cards, then discard one to untap, and repeat the process as much as we like, oh let's hope we have Library of Leng out! Nice, infinite card draw, but why stop there? Let's do the card draw AND do some damage to our opponent! Thieving Magpie works nicely with aHermetic Study slapped on, or aProdigal Sorcerer ,or any of that cards clones with similar ability, with a Curiosity slapped on. Now we are tapping to do a point of direct damage, discarding a card to the top of our library with Library of Leng out, to untap with Mind Over Matter , right after resolving drawing a card, do do it all over again, as much as we like. Infinite Damage Combo!!! Okay so many different ways to break that multi-card combo up. But we are playing blue people, and should have some form of countering available! As for permanents, MOM should have no problem tapping whatever is causing you distress:) Time to execute is a factor though. And though this is the beginning of a very powerful combo, so many other decks will break it up in 10 or fewer turns. One option is building a smaller 60 card deck. Four Urza's Bauble , four Mishra's Bauble and four Foresight and any similar cards to slim the deck fast. But I prefer the more devious way, and would splash some green. Why stop at infinite card draw and damage? Let's go Infinite Life Combo!!! With good old Aluren , you just need an Essence Warden out, or a Paradise Plume out(choose blue!). You then proceed to playMan-o'-war . Then you play the other one in your hand for free , targeting the first. Repeat as much as you like for as much life as you like:) You may use any number of green spells to populate your hand with Man-o'-war. You also use any number of green spells for mana sources or land fetching . Any number of blue for card draw, and since you are using these colors, don't forget some Coiling Oracle and maybe a Recycle for more infinite card draw!!!

If you had this plus Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind out, you would own...sounds like an infinite combo to me...

Wow, I absolutely love this combo card. Next time some wide-eye chump tells me how good Intruder Alarm is I can point to this and say "think harder"

@Sumai4444
To bad Librar of Leng only applies to effects that make you discard and not costs, like the cost of the activated ability of this card. Still they are great cards anyway.

You can use it with any card that will tap for a draw, Library of Leng and Circular Logic for a very effective lock.

Or it could just read:
Every card in your hand is also an uncounterable Twiddle with 0 mana cost.

Mind Over Matter + Arcanis The Omnipotent = Infinite Cards + Infinite Mana == Win. I think that is the strongest two card combo in magic.

It is important to note that Elixer of Immortality or any legendary eldrazi need to exist in the deck to unmill yourself to complete the infinite cycle.

Even with quad blue in the casting cost, this is still insanely overpowered.

@Sumai4444: I also think this is one of the greatest combo engines, but what about Painter's Servant?

Quicksilver Dagger. Deal as much damage as the number of cards in your library.

The funny thing about this card is that you can make a semi-convincing argument that it isn't that good. I mean, twiddle effects aren't used when they are cheap enough to pretty much only cost the card so getting one for a card doesn't seem like a great deal. And to get that deal, you have to pay 6 mana, four of it required to be blue.

But then you think about what this card can do and of course it's ridiculous and should cost more, if it ever should have been printed in the first place.

Mind over Matter, Arcanis the Omipotent. Enough said.

When i first saw this I thought it was underpowered. I saw: 6 mana for a twiddle? why? then I noticed that it was an enchantment and not an instant.

That cleared up a lot of things.

Yeah, Wizards. That four-blue casting cost really balanced it.

I remember playing against my friends deck that had this in it. I always had to pray for a disenchant because if he had this + Thieving Magpie + Hermetic Study it was game over.

This + groundskeeper + a land that taps for 3 mana= Infinite mana. God I love this thing.

This is going in my Experiment Kraj EDH deck built around drawing.
Azami, Lady of Scrolls, Arcanis the Omnipotent, and Archivist will all let me draw/filter through my deck.
Combined with Earthcraft, I can untap a creature to untap a land for a bunch of mana.
If you had an Everflowing Chalice in play, this could get really nasty.

And for a new combo: You can combine this with Elixir of Immortality and Sorcerer's Strongbox. All you have to do is activate the ability. While it's ability is on the stack, just untap it with Mind Over Matter and do it again. As long as you don't let them resolve, you'll get their bonuses because they both don't require you to sacrifice them to activate. So for the Elixir, you can gain 5 life each time; And for the Stongbox, you get that many flips!

Have fun :)

I'm beginning to think none of the colors should be allowed to draw cards under any circumstances -_-

pay life for cards? yeah Phyrexian Arena is the fairest version, and it's still busted.

tap to draw cards? this turns that into discard cards to draw equal or more cards!

is there any version of drawing cards you can put on a card that DOESN'T combo with something ludicrously dumb from Magic's past?

I run this in my Sharuum the Hegemon EDH deck. Puts artifacts in my yard, untaps my artifacts, it's amazing.

Plus with this, Otherworld Atlas, and either Darksteel or Blightsteel Colossus, I just mill everyone out, refreshing my library with cards if I need to.

Also if I'm feeling especially cruel, Roar of Reclamation puts my (now library-sized) graveyard on the field.

On its own this card is terrible! Why would I spend 2 cards and 6 mana for twiddle????
But then you just add 1 combo piece and it does things that should never be done...
2 card combos are 5 stars and extremely powerful.

Urza is such a freaking boss.
