For starters, I had no idea that any of those Cartel Aristocrats were actually vampires, which does a lot to explain their abilities.

I'll be incredibly happy to get one of these if I end up with BGW at the pre-release. Each side of the card is pretty decent in and of itself as a combat trick, but when combined, the card essentially reads, 2GWWB: You're losing? Now you're winning!"

Oh hey look. They yanked one mode off of Boros Charm and glued it to To Arms! (minus cantrip) and then stapled the whole thing to Vault of the Archangel.

That's one scary efficient card with a whoooooole lotta uses.

I think every Karador-colored EDH deck wants one of these.

I guess the Boros Reckoner - Azorius Charm - Boros Charm infinite life combo wasn't good enough, so they printed one card that can take the place of the latter two.

This is REALLY useful fused. Sure, most of the split cards are, but this one lets you nuke your opponent's board and gain a ton of life in the process.

Heed my words: Junk Tokens will be sure to make a splash in the next few months. This card will be scary, especially in Limited.

Either half makes this perhaps the best combat trick in Standard. Playing them both when your opponent is swinging into a tapped-out field is just mean.

I'm working on an Orzhov populate deck and this card is a perfect fit. But here's the deck list if anybody wants to help me improve on it or if you just want to see it:

Creatures:11
X1 Obzedat, Ghost Council
X1 Trostani, Selesnya's Voice
X1 Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts
X1 Emmara Tandris
X1 Deathpact Angel
X2 Phantom General
X4 Doomed Traveler

Other Spells: 25
X3 Lingering Souls
X4 Beckon Apparition
X1 Obzedat's Aid
X2 Ready // Willing
X2 Profit // Loss
X2 Rootborn Defenses
X3 Wake the Reflections
X3 Druid's Deliverance
X2 Collective Blessing
X3 Putrefy

Lands: 24
X2 Selesnya Guildgate
X2 Orzhov Guildgate
X2 Golgari Guildgate
X4 Evolving Wilds
X3 Swamp
X3Forest
X8 Plains

Sideboard: 15
X2 Orzhov Charm
X2 Phantom General
X1 Emmara Tandris
X1 Druid's Deliverance
X2 Rootborn Defenses
X2 Gallows Warden
X2 Sundering Growth
X1 Golgari Charm
X2 Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage

I'm trying to get my hands on a few Intangible Virtues to replace with the collective blessings but if anybody has any more suggestions just let me know. It's worked good the way it is now, I've won 3 out of 5 games I've played with it. The mechanic of the deck is to spawn lots of spirit tokens then populate them with cards like Rootborn defenses and Druids deliverance. Rootborn defenses is all great when you opponent tries to kill off all your creatures or if he tries to all out attack. Use phantom generals and collective blessings to make the tokens more powerful. This deck can easily spawn an army of spirit tokens so if you use removal spells like Putrefy to kill of your opponents fliers and you have at least ten tokens on the field (which will not take long) then play a profit/loss to give them all +1/+1 then that's twenty damage and depending on your opponents life can be a game winner. This deck can spawn that many tokens by about turn 6 at the earliest proved you get the perfect starting hand.

I do not get why they felt this card was necessary. Possibly the most frustrating trick to play against because there is nothing you can do to get around it. Either you have a counter spell or the entire game beforehand is nullified. In an aggressive format like DGR, people are going to hate this card.

Whoa... Evil-Lyn joined the Orzhov, and she's an absolute Limited Bomb!

What a terrifying triple-whammy for only 6 mana fused. This'll fit in any WBG deck, no matter what you're going for. I think they could've even made it a sorcery instead and it would still be mighty -- it's a near-OP combat bomb in the wrong (or right?) hands.

I get the reference to the boros reckoner-charm combo and how this effectively replaces 2 cards with 1, but lets be serious here. if youre running junk (white green black) with boros reckoner and want to go infinite with lifegain, more power to you. I totally underestimated this card when i first caught a glimpse. "cool, a junk split card for a rare..." but really its like a second boros charm in naya with an added effect. Boros charm is still the man when it comes to pulling the okie-doke on your opponents supreme verdict, but this card in standard is nice sideboard material against multiple strategies, without "willing" being part of the equation. But hey, if you have a sylvan caryatid and 5 naya mana, LET IT RIP DOO.
