This card is going to see a lot of play in drafts, and rightfully so. 4 bodies for one cheap card is amazing, and the creatures have evasion to boot. Damage in the air? check. Chump blocking? check. Morbid enabling? you betcha. The only thing i don't like about this card is that i cant play it in my Tolsimir Wolfblood EDH due to the black flashback. Oh well, can't have everything...

Not to mention you don't HAVE to cast this turn two. You can cast it twice on turn 5 for 4 tokens after a Day of Judgment on turn 4.

squardren hawks just got put into one manageable package to save on all that library searching I imagine .
this and drogskol captain put a full on beating on me tonight at FNM.
it all started so calm with a few token that made me second guess on attacking, then all of a sudden the captain and Intangible Virtue and some more tokens started going to town on me... my only response was "good game".

I love this card so much. I loved Midnight Haunting before. Token gen has always been one of my favorite strategies...and this just gets filthy when you combine it with Shrine of Loyal Legions...

This puts us into black and white, the two colors with some of the best and heaviest removal. Black Sun's Zenith, Day of Judgment, Oblivion Ring, Doom Blade, Go for the Throat, Dismember, Tragic Slip, Wring Flesh. Throw in some swords and you have a hell of a resistant deck. (SOBAM for more tokens, or go traditional SOFAF/SOWAP if you prefer.) Splash a third color (green if you feel like you need access to Ray of Revelation and it's flashback and Naturalize, or Blue for Moorland Haunt)... The possibilities seem endless here...
