"Draw a card" makes the difference here (as it usually does). Good card, not just for combat.

THE BRITISH ARE COMIN'! awesome card. And yes, good for combat too. A question- can I use this to kind of "float mana" for something with convoke, and tap each critter twice?

This might be my favorite white instant to date. Fantastic art. A name with an exclamation point. Effect with nigh endless applications; from combat shenanigans to getting stupid amounts of mana from your mana dorks. Fairly costed, and then they throw in a cantrip. And not just a line, but a whole story for flavor text. Certainly more powerful cards out there, but this seems more fun.
Only two problems; One: Why hasn't this become a core set staple? Two: Why won't this system let me rate it higher than 5?

Vitalize as a cantrip (and colorshifted into white, and 1 mana more).

This card can make you downright paranoid about attacking.

This card just begged to be abused. Combo with Bloom Tender and Izzet Guildmage for unlimited draw a card. There are more ways to abuse it such as imprint it on the Isochron Scepter.

"I swing with all my creatures."
"I'll take it since that'll leave me just enough to kill you next turn with my own creatures."
"Afterward I play To Arms!"
"Fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff-"

I sincerely hope this makes it into a Core Set some day. It's just so cool.

Pretty sweet with cards like Skirsdag High Priest to take extra advantage of Morbid effects. Versatile card.

This and Kaboom! are the only two black-bordered cards with exclamation points explicitly in the name.

I use this card and Liege of the Tangle. Comes in handy to have a bunch of mana.

Makes you want to splash white in Tim decks. And many decks that include isochron scepter.
I am hesitant to throw this into my casual decks because I play with people who are paranoid about attacking for no good reason. This kind of trick would mess them up forever.

A good reason to never use Masako the Humorless.
You mean this?
You didn't play during the early days, did you?
