Quite a unique art style for Magic cards which I am loving.

Pros like me also noticed that the land type is gate which is useful in this set.

This just seems like one of those "win more" cards.

The person on it doesn't look Golgari (unless that's a brightly colored fungus completely adorning him). Still, beautiful, like all the other land cards in the set.

This is a lot better then Golgari Rot Farm in my opinion, since you don't have to return a land to your hand to get it out. Doing so can really cripple you in the early game, where every move and mana spent counts.
Late game when you have more then enough mana to support you, the rot farm may be better because it provides more fuel to pump charge/kicked spells. Personally though, I'd still use this over the farm.

I just want to point out that the art and the flavor connects like no other. I can easily imagine a desperate ravnican citizen who has nowhere else to go to, decides to join the Swarm and enters that very gloomy looking Gate (into the Undercity)

So... Seriously, wtf art. The guild symbol just does not flow. At all. And this is the only one to have it displayed so pristine. It looks like part of the card, not the art.

Try saying that three times in a row.

I find it strange, yet somehow pleasant, that I am quite favoring these Guildgate arts over the Shock Land REPRINT arts, while it was the exact opposite for the Original Ravnica Lands: Didn't like the Karoo art on half of them though all 10 play very well; but I'd trade Beta Dual Lands for Ravnica Shock Lands 1:1. As in you get the Beta card and I get the Ravnica one. The Ravnica ones are better balanced if you want the game to be fun more years in a row, and they just have plain kickass art.
I would love to build a deck using all Guildgates and Old Shocklands, and I'll trade people Karoos for Guildgates and Beta lands for Old Shocks to do it. There were *some* Karoos I liked the art for, but I like *every* Guildgate, and that is what makes it/breaks it for me.

Ignore the trolls, these cards are absolute GARBAGE! Come into play tapped is a strict minus and almost never worth fixing your manabase for, unless they print some good support for gates, these are a very very poor mans shocklands if you think otherwise you are lying to yourself.
Thanks wizards, keep on reminding why I haven't played magic in a long long time. Corrupt A** holes

Great? No, but not bad, and decent in Commander where superior multi-lands might not work because of color ID. This will be a welcome addition to enemy color decks, which have always been short on decent dual lands.

These aren't terrible. In fact, if you are running a two-color deck that doesn't splash for a third color, these can replace Evolving Wilds, as they have the same effect of ultimately coming into play tapped. Unless you are running Arbor Elf for ramping, it's a toss-up between the two. Of course, for extra mana-fixing (though at a very slow tempo), you could run Wilds and Gates.
D34D2R1T35, don't forget to copy-paste that comment to the new Guildgates as well when Gatecrash is posted to Gatherere, let them feel your rage! Dual lands for limited and pauper, what horrible corruption is this? How very dare they?

Thanks so much Wizards, for printing a full cycle of common dual lands, and then reprinting all ten at super common! Casual players will never have to worry about 2-color mana fixing ever again! ^w^
