A surprising amount of hidden utility in such a basic green card. Even more, you could probably build a deck around it and run Primal Cocoon if you want more than 4. Hilariously deep for a common.

Bad card. All the disadvantages of auras on a card that doesn't do anything for a full turn and gives a tiny bonus on the second turn. Sure, some creatures can make good use of +1/+1 counters, but regarding the speed of this card with the risk of card disadvantage, it's not worth it.
I actually prefer Primal Cocoon for the flavour of the mechanic, but let's face it, neither's really playable unless you have a very specific combo in mind, like a Joraga Warcaller elf deck or something.

It seems like something with "forced" in its name would have a different effect.
This is a beautifully designed card. It has much fewer of the issues of traditional auras, since the +1/+1 counters stay on the creature even if the aura's removed. Obviously Ring of Kalonia is a better fit for green decks, but in heavy blue evolve, this is a godsend. Only one green in the cost, accelerates card draw with Fathom Mage or creature buff with Master Biomancer, and is an early game powerhouse with Experiment One. I would pick this in limited, and probably even run it in casual.
Also, I'm Corpsejack Menace and this is my favorite common on the Citadel.

It's a shame they printed this now when Primal Cocoon is still fairly recent. Forced Adaptation is de facto strictly better than Primal Cocoon (but not completely so, due to, for example, Feedback, to which Primal Cocoon would provide you with an out by attacking). Although I guess if you built a deck around it, you might run the cocoons as backup copies.
You know what, though? Fascinatingly, Primal Cocoon is rated more highly than this card!
@Kirbster: not strictly better than momentum because it doesn't hinder creatures with undying. that being said, that's the only condition that i can think of where it works only slightly better.
Wow, perfect for any creature deck with any green mana at all, even a splash. Hard to see how this doesn't become an automatic include.

@TheWaddleDeeKing - it's only 3/5 because it's very weak compared to other enchantments and subject to the 2-for-1 flaw of most auras. Out of the creatures you listed only the Invisible Stalker is worth enchanting in general given that it can't be easily removed, and then there are much better enchantments - Ethereal Armor, Keen Sense/Curiosity, Daybreak Coronet, Armadillo Cloak, Sigil of Sleep... indeed, there are plenty of auras that are way better for Stalker than Forced Adaptation.
Overall, this card suffers the same crucial drawback as most auras, and is nowhere near strong enough to make up for it, even in decks which can nullify that drawback (like hexproof decks). Look elsewhere for cheap buffs; Rancor is wondering why you aren't running it instead when it's the best 1 mana enchantment and has just been reprinted recently.

How on earth is this rated LOWER than Primal Cocoon. Its literally the same effect with the same cost, only it doesn't have the drawback...

I think that this card is not 5/5 because people hate this card.
I think this card should not exist ^_^.
If I see this card in a game, I will concede.

Gets 3/5 from me because it is slightly overpowered and is yet another card that obsoletes older cards that were well liked: Momentum and Primal Cocoon. Should be an uncommon and possess a clause such as: Sacrifice this enchantment if the enchanted creature has three or more +1/+1 counters on it.

Hate to be the downer here, but this isn't a great card, it isn't even a good card.
Its an aura that provides no protection to itself or its target, and does nothing when it comes out. The cost isn't just , it is also a card that you are risking on a creature. You are now gambling two cards on that creature's continued existence. The thing that really kills it for me though is that it does nothing when it hits the table and honestly works too slowly to be useful. Play this card on turn 2 onto your Llanowar Elves, and on turn 5 you have a 4/4. If your opponent kills that creature at any point along the way, in combat or with a spell, then you lose 2 cards. They gain card advantage over you by killing it.
Compare this with a card like Hunger of the Howlpack which does one or three counters at instant speed, or Ring of Kalonia, a mediocre card that grows your green creatures but also grants a useful ability in trample and doesn't die when your creature does. Far from an auto-include, Forced Adaptation is an auto-reject in any constructed format. Some Auras worth including? Keen Sense, Rancor or Spider Umbra.

Invest one mana on your first turn creature to keep it on the curve? Why not? You'll be ramping into other threats anyway and forcing them to block that Bushi Tenderfoot is in your best interest.

I think I would generally rather have hunger of the howlpack. And just saying that hurts my inner Timmy.

This and corpsejack menace Every turn you get 2 counters. If you have another corpsejack menace out, you get 4 counters. if you have another out you get 16 counters and if you have all 4 out you get 32 counters every turn. Or you have this and Vorel of the Hull Clade just keep on doubling those counters. This card is great

Use in junction with rancor, champion of the parish, quirion dryad and ethereal armor and rush for victory! Fill with other cheap enchants to make all your dreams come true.
Super Exicited to put it in my Animar deck~
Animar, Soul of Elements
Ulasht, the Hate Seed
Apocalypse Hydra
Mycoloth
Triskelion
Triskelavus
And might even consider putting it in my Skullbriar deck just for Skullbriar, the walking grave and espicially Thought Gorger
What other creatures have abilities that would benefit from this?
Really, any green deck benefits from having it, but it's really going to be amazing in Simic. Flux Mage, Master Biomancer...
