This will go very nicely in q lot of decks. Since green doesn't get exalted, just pair this up with a bunch of white cards with green protection and trample... I can see it all now...
Also, more invasion/urza block reprints please! Less innistrad reprints also please!

I just realized this... please please correct me if i'm wrong... but since this is what i just saw it, I was thinking this because the keyword on Quirion Dryad is cast, so that would mean that the countered spell, although it is not played technically, it is still casted, it's just that the spell itself is not played on the battlefield... so a casted spell that has been countered still makes Quirion Dryad's ability still trigger... i'm hoping I am wrong, I hope I am so wrong, because if you have a counterspell war, it'll be crazy

"Quirion Dryad's ability will trigger if you cast a spell that's green and at least one of the listed colors."
Based on the rulings above posted last 7/1/20112, it's ability will also trigger if you cast a GREEN SPELL, I don't get it because the card rule text says only WHITE, BLUE, BLACK OR RED.

Grabbing my play set early. With RTR around the corner, and rancor standard for a year, this should be sweet.
EDIT: @wizard_pick - If a spell is green AND one of the listed colors (also known as a two color spell), then it will trigger. Example: Watchwolf will trigger Quirion Dryad.
@ghostphoenix - yes, that is true. Quirion Dryad will trigger whenever you cast a White, Blue, Black, or Red spell. The spell does not have to resolve in order for Quirion Dryad to get the +1/+1 counter.

Pro-tip: Use this creature in a multi-colored deck.

@Wicked_Pick: I don't get you you can't understand the word AND. It is saying it will trigger in such a situation as you cast a spell that is green AND another color. It doesn't say that's the only situation, it's merely clarifying that there's a reason they didn't say non-green.

If you cast a card that is both red and white (eg. Boros Recruit) does the Dryad's ability trigger twice?
@ghostphoniex I believe that that is the case, the +1/+1 counter will go on the dryad before the spell resolves (or is countered) so it should also work for cards that rely on the power of a card (eg. swords to plowshares).

@Charles_Prefect: The ability only triggers once trigger per card.

Good in new delver decks.

Guys, this is an AMAZING card. I searched on google for some vintage decks, you know, the ones with Force of Will , Ancestrall Recall, and all the damn Moxes. Well I saw a multitude of decks that ran NOT ONE, NOT TWO, BUT A PLAYSET of her, with her being the only creature next to like one other. And would you gentleman like to know why? Because she's a f****** boss. She's a tarmogoyf with boobs. Just try her out as your only green creature next to tarmy in a 4C control or domain deck. She will bash buts.

And boy, does it smell good.
rancor, silverblade paladin, farseek, ajani, caller of the pride... Or make it a tricolor deck with delver and snapcaster and pay too much money for boring times.
