It's goooood. Stall with walls and counterspells and then mindlock them by playing this in conjunction with Mind Erosion & Megrim. In my Type 3 mill deck

Great in mill decks and discard decks. Though this can be just as much a bane for you if your opponent has a lot of mana to churn out your your death in one turn. I stoked the fires of a dragon storm deck with this once and took 140 damage as a result :)
Basically, only advanced players and sound strategies need apply. (I use it in my black/blue, underworlds dream deck)

Tricky to use right, but if you can stop your opponent from playing the cards he/she is drawing (counterspell) then you might as well call it game.

This card is quite a finisher. Once you drop it, their only hope is a disenchant, since, depending on how far in the game you are, they likely only have four or five spells available before they completely deck themselves. And unlike other milling finishers, this one is almost always lethal when they run out of cards, since it forces them to draw. Even worse, they have random hands each time, and they cant even respond to the ability with a spell without triggering another new hand. This is over the top, way too potent. Definite game-ender.

I love this mechanic, it's like turning a tenet of magic on its head. This is saying to your opponent: "So you like card advantage huh? Well here, have it, have it and choke on it! Muahahaha!"

I think I am going to love this card if I could get four of them and build a deck around it.
I'd add in some Megrim, maybe a Rule of Law or two, some counterspells, and whatever else. Oh man, oh man, oh man. Me likey.
i like the idea to donate the card after playing a spellbook and an overbeing of myth .......
or just make them draw cards. "so you like drawing cards hu? well draw some some, draw some more. hear, have more, go a head, have more"
"but i don't want any more!'"

If you're going to pass this across the table, why not splash some red for Obstinate Familiar (to avoid milling yourself to pieces) and Spiraling Embers as an alternate win condition?
I love this card. if your opponent has 10 cards in their library and they cast Sanity Grinding. They HAVE to to draw seven BEFORE the spells resolves leaving only TWO cards in their deck to try and mill you with!

This is a great card. It's got exceptional milling power. However its downside is that your opponent draws instead of putting them in the grave, so they have a chance of drawing that naturalize.

Just add some Psychic Possession to get huge benefits on your own and also stop the danger of milling. Adding red is a nice idea though because then you could finish of with Cerebral Vortex. And just in case your opponent wants to use the cards he just drew add some Vex. ;-)

This plus Hive Mind, and four Thought Reflections... that would mean each opponent would draw 35 cards for each spell you play. What I want to know is does Forced Fruition stack on itself, equaling your opponents to draw 140 cards instead?

Meean, MEEEAN card! combine it with underworld dreams, megrim, thats a silly amount of damage. cuz you figure they have 4 cards in hand maybe, they play a spell, have 3, then draw 7 to give them ten, dreams does 7 damage, then they have to discard 3 cards which deals another six damage.
Be warned: Combining this with Consecrated Sphinx may seem broken, but it'll deck you out unless you have some way to prevent them from casting spells... *cough* Silence *cough*

★★★★★ (5.0/5.0)(2 votes)
@fungalbloom: I would assume that multiple Forced Fruitions would stack in the order that they came into play, so each spell cast could potentially mill for 28.
Battle of Wits deck. self mill problem solved. use all those broken things you already said. Consecrated Sphinx, Wheel of Sun and Moon, Thought Refelction, give this to them with Donate. I think your opponent might just quit playing Magic though.
throw in Black for the Skull, Underworld Dreams, Megrim, Liliana's Caress, all the tutors...
Seems like quite a viable 500 card deck of douchebaggery, if you can shuffle it.

Good target forDonate. It will make your Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind a very happy dragon, you don't even need to worry about your own discard end even than it can fixed with Reliquary Tower or Spellbook. I'am also pretty sure that load's of Kamigawa cards would benefit from this.

Ahahaha, look at the ruling: "Yes, the opponent draws seven cards. It's not optional." I like the flavor of using it with Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur. Blue as a color strives for limitless knowledge. Grant that wish with as much cruelty as you can. Given the forced discard nature and sinister trickery of the card, it has a bit of a Black feel as well, particularly in the potential drawback of giving your opponent the card they exactly need.
Just don't play it against a Storm deck!

It definitely has combo potential, but you'd better make sure that the rest of your combo is already in place the instant this hits the field, or have such insane defenses that you're already in win-more mode. Because otherwise, if your opponent has one card (or one combo) anywhere in his deck that can screw you over, he's pretty much guaranteed to get it.

Sure the draw->damage combos work. But they aren't necessary. Add some Font of Mythos and Howling Mines and just straight answers to everything they might play. Very laid back mill deck. Just sit there and watch them squirm. >:-)
With one of each, that's 11 cards a turn they draw, assuming they play a single spell. Mine turn 2, Font turn 4, gives them roughly 40 cards (exactly 40 if they went first) when this hits the field. That's about four spells they can play before they get milled out. Provided you are running a counter/kill deck, (since you survived to turn 6) they don't have much hope. Wait a second... look at this curve:
This card's trigger is now completely optional (in real life tournament magic only), thanks to some rules changes. Yay for random rules changes that exist for no reason other than "just because" that don't apply to Magic Online and make cards work different between casual and tournament level play.
And within three days of this rule change being announced, it has been reverted after public outcry pointing many issues with it. Whoops.

@TheWrathofShane These ideas arent supposed to be tournament level. They are just for the heck of it. Like it was mentioned before "So. I heard you like card advantage? THEN CHOKE ON IT AND DIE! MWAHAHAHA" That kind of thing.
Hey im going to build a deck to help your deck out? why say that if a persons hands only limits up to 7 in two turns he would be dead( if he plays spells up the corn-hole). 7, 14 ,21 ,28 ,35, 42, 49 thats if they play one spell per turn, at turn four they either have to destroy it or put Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre into the grave. besides this idea looks very nice for a mill deck.
ps they are gonna start discarding mana cards as well at the end of their step if they drew crap tons of it, its a possibility.

Fun fact about this card: I have never lost a game, even multiplayer, after successfully casting this. Yes, it does cost a very painful 6 mana, but it does what every six costing spell should do, win you the game!
Minimum, if this is on the field, an opponent is drawing seven from a removal spell. If you are playing a counter deck though, even trying to destroy this becomes a very risky proposition. The closest someone has come to beating it out was in EDH when someone cast three successive spells to remove it before knocking it off the field.
Also fun with this is Mindslaver. Just saying, game ends that turn.

Love the oracle rulings "10/1/2007 Yes, the opponent draws seven cards. It's not optional."
Psychic Possession and Jace's Erasure ensures that for every card they draw they will pay dearly and you will be justly rewarded. Toss in Teferi's Puzzle Box and some control and you'll be golden until the end of time.
Makes Cerebral Vortex do some heavy damage. Hold a counterspell incase they respond and you can easily get them for 16 points of damage if they try anything.

I rated this card a 5 because of how much I hate it. First time i ever saw it, my opponent played it as the only card on his side. I pretty much milled myself to death before I could even cast a couple spells that weren't countered or removed....I don't even know how this card isn't banned... It's ridiculous. I'm buying a playset tomorrow to make a mill deck....

@Nucleon Actually this kills storm. They are going to deck themselves trying to win because EACH spell they cast they draw seven cards. if they are trying to get the storm count up, then they will cast 9-10 cards minimum, which means they've already lost.

The worst thing this card can do is get blown up by the next spell cast, giving your opponent 7 cards that can be cast with no further retribution. Possibility Storm will greatly reduce their chances to resolve removal, and meanwhile, because they cast the spell that gets tucked AND something else from their library, they'll draw 14 cards while only getting one effect that they can't even pick.

What people tend to not realize is that this completely kills off storm. It basically says: Maximum storm count is now 7, or you lose.
Consecrated Sphinx, now you are offered the right to draw, while they are force to accept the cards >:)
Very Johnnytastic, and pretty good, but its kinda awful in EDH where there is the potential you just filled their hand with ways to spend their mana :/
