conditional Underworld Dreams with legs? sounds like a nice one-drop.

Underworld Dreams is such a vicious card... Decks that use it don't need the redundancy, in my opinion.

I'm not sure why this is only rated 3 and a half stars. This card can be pretty amazing.

Combine this with Bloodhall Ooze and you have an early pair of cards that can WRECK your opponent straight from the get go; take life each turn whilst steadily building a red one drop into a huge monster.

Not to mention...can you imagine 4 of these on the field at once? It's only a one drop. This card is an amazing starting card.

I love this card, it can make a draw pain deck so much more devastating. It's very under rated.

Run this in a red-black deck and it will surely eat your opponents brains... Cards like Malfegor's Cup and the likes that will make ur opponent draw for a drop of blood...

This and Elder Mastery is ridiculous. You get the trigger from the aura itself, not to mention.. your opponent won't have anything in their hand... ever. If you don't have removal right away, or larger creatures against that combo, you're just going to automatically lose.

Creature form Underworld Dreams that is great in a R/B deck. Especially since Underworld Dreams BBB cost can be awkward in anything other than a mono-black deck. (I love the artwork too)

I never liked it really, don't think it deserves rare status. Underworld Dreams, yes, this, no.

When combined with either/both a spiteful vision or underworld dream, these really really hurt. Add a forced fruition for some real pain...basically, if they can't kill you with what they have on the board, they are dead. That is when you start your doom blading, and unsummoning and dispersing.

Great one drop plain and simple. B/R aggro discard with the likes of Sign in Blood for 5dmg a pop and it even makes cards like Burning Inquiry look like Lightning Bolts lol. Lots of potential here.

I think the point of this card is to open replace underworld dreams in a multi color deck. Kind of have to rely on dark rituals to play UwD in in multi color unless you have $80 worth of dual lands in red/black. Or side by side works great. My problem is that there arent enough good synergistic cheap red drops for this combo. Best I can think of are the Shocker and Barbed Shocker duo.

Problems with mana colors? Mana Cylix
Use this & UwD with the ever popular Teferi's Puzzle Box and Wistful thinking
and Thiebaut...OW!!!that's just wrong...and thanks for the idea...

Definitely a great card. Totally usable and a great first turn drop. then you can drop something cheap and helpful like Quest for Pure Flame. theres your red perm. start doing 1 damage and putting counters on the quest. when used in sync with Howling Mine or Font of Mythos multiples of these or just one is deadly. 5/5.

I hate this card. Only because its so good. I have a friend who has 2-3 of these in his red-black deck. Once he gets it out unless or until i get some removal it usually takes 5-6 points of life. Then his megrims and and discard focused cards takes care of the rest. spirit breaking...

Spiteful Visions seems like a nice, more flexibly-costed alternative to Underworld Dreams that work quite nicely with this guy. Granted, the Visions will be damaging you too, but with the Parasite out, your opponent will burn quicker than you will. As for the card itself, I like it!

This was posted in Shocker's discussion tab by Ragamander:
"Silly synergy with Kederekt Parasite.
I can just imagine a turn one Kederekt Parasite, turn two Shocker, and turn three Megrim + attack for m***ive, m***ive pain, provided that there's no blocker for your Shocker. Could be an instant kill if they're playing a slow deck.
"

That's some silly synergy alright, juuust saying... and with Lilliana's Caress instead of Megrim, you could even cast a second Parasite on your third turn. Blightning could go well with that, as well as Barbed Shocker and some regular burn to clear blockers.

As for my own opinion, I've only recently come to realize how potentially devastating it is. It's easy to kill, yeah, but in the right deck, it can definitely be scary. Sweet artwork as well, 4.5/5

EDIT: okay, scratch Blightning. It's a sick card, but it reduces the opponent's hand size which isn't really what we want to do ...

Underworld Dreams cost BlackBlackBlack for a reason.
This guy is great.

hmm... A strange complaint but the art for this card doesn't fit it very well.

It looks to be at least a 3/3 perhaps a 2/2 bear... or something with a nasty bite trick for killing creatures.
It just mauled someone and is walking away looking for more. That's the image of a big hunter, not a little parasite, that slowly sucks you away.

I think anyone who has seen this card in action knows that it can be brutal. In a sense it gives you continuing utility out of cards like Blisterstick Shaman or even Manic Vandal.

I don't think this creature is that big. If you notice the angle of the image is from below, making the creature seem bigger. Notice how large the doors are in the background, this indicates that the creature is actually small.

I wanted to point out that the art was probably made for another creature and simply used for this. The skulls it has on it's spines are (probably) human/elf, and small by comparison to the rest of it's body. Meh.

More like GETREKT Parasite, am I right? Huhah? ...Guys?

I don't know how many red permanents are in the deck, but this should have been in Nekusar/Jeleva's Commander 2013 deck.

Hmm... I'm diggin' Curse of the Pierced Heart with this guy. Y'know, gets the blood flowin'. Then, off the top of my head, maybe Browbeat a lil after. Harrowing Journey a lil after that.
