Wizards, I love you for reprinting this thing. A time warp effect in counterspell form, because nothing else is more satisfying than causing them to waste a turn. 5/5

Ah, so a zombie's biggest weakness is glowing scrolls. All this time I thought it was decapitation or fire. #themoreyouknow

I believe this is an artist's depiction of the banning of Deathrite Shaman.

WHAT!? They're selling JvsV for a little more than this card is worth?

And many players rejoiced at the (hopefully) reduced price… And Jace wins.

Fantastic card, but I guarantee it's even better to use in a mirror match against another Jace Deck than against Vraska.
Having access to Ctrl+Z with a cantrip is probably the best way to ruin their counterspell. Few things are sweeter than saying "Your spell no longer has a legal target, and thus resolves having done nothing."

I like the new art (suck it Golgari Thug) but I do miss the old flavour text.

I've been expecting this reprint in the duel deck for a while now.
Glad to see it official!!!

The fact that Jace's version of Remand features Azorius flavourtext kind of pokes at a question that's been in my mind ever since Jace became the new Guildpact.
Since Jace is taking over for Azor, who was almost certainly Blue/White, does this mean that Jace is going to start leaning toward the White side of Blue's allied wedge on the colour pie? His new artwork kind of suggests that, given the colour scheme of his Planeswalker Card.
All the same, I think that with Venser so fresh in everybody's mind, Wizards might be hesitant to make Jace into a Blue/White walker. But on the other hand, Venser is gone in the story now, so maybe that's an opening in design space that needs to be filled?
Just a thought.

So, which do you think is better in most situations? Memory Lapse or Remand?

I love the new art. I just wish there were 2 copies in the duel deck instead of 1. Between Jace, Architect of Thought and this its worth buying the set.

@SUPERCOW
Remand is definitely more versatile as you can use it to bounce one of your own spells gone wrong or force your opponent to discard on a full hand. Memory Lapse has versatility in a mill deck but Remand does so much more on its own. Also, the fact that it cantrips means you aren't losing card advantage by playing it and gives it value if you're just trying to stall out the game until you get that one card you badly need. (Something I've had first hand experience with many times.)
Memory Lapse is an amazing card and impacts the opponent more. If you have a deck that builds around it, or a deck with something that Memory Lapse builds around itself, then yes, it can be much more devastating. But Remand is just waaay too handy to overlook in any deck that uses counter magic.

Oh no, I went a paid $17 for a few a month ago. Well, either the price will go down or people will start raiding this duel deck like an infestation.

You know your shop is ripping you off when they raise the price of a duel deck from $20 to $30 just because a duel deck has a playable card in it.
Somedays I wish Magic was less materialistic, but apparently this is what made it so successful.
Personally, I play my Duel Decks un-sleeved because 1. it is more fun to play it this way 2. it shows that it's just cards
I feel sad whenever people want this card from my Duel Deck. If you are rich enough to play Modern, just buy your own Duel Deck and dissect it like a sicko, or go a more respectful route, and buy original printing.
But seriously. It's disgusting Jace vs Vraska: $20, raised to $30 BoTG event deck: $20, raised to $30 Mind Seize Commander Deck: $40, raised to $100 thanks to true named nemesis. Modern Masters Booster Pack: $7? raised to $20 thanks to ... whatever is in it
It's sickening.
Successful? YES! Does it make me hate Magic? Quite so.

@ DmitryM
"Dissect it like a sicko"...really? While I agree that I don't like the practice of jacking up prices on these things, I'm pretty sure what people do with the cards they purchase is their own decision.
Great reprint btw. I was seriously shocked when I saw this.

@DmitryM: I bought these decks and I'm keeping the Vraska one intact for a while, but after a week of having fun messing around with the Jace deck I'm going too tear it apart so I can use the cards in it. Future Sight, Remand, Jace itself, and Control Magic immediately pop into my mind, but that's not it.
