Also, when taking a look at Gnat Miser, i also regret that there doesn't exist a rare version that reduces the hand size by three or even four. Too bad we didn't get a vertical cycle...sigh.

CMC seems a bit too high considering its ability and the fact that it's only a 2/2. Personally, I'd rather use 4 mana to drop 4 Gnat Misers.

By the time you can get this thing out, no self-respecting player would have more than five cards in hand. You could play with a deck full of misers, but they're really horrible as creatures, and usually straight-up discard effects are way more useful anyway. Junk.

Auteur's right. There's really no way to make this work well. Even if you get a few of these guys and a couple Rat Misers to reduce their handsize by 7... what have you done? Played 4 or 5 weak creatures to ensure that your opponent has to play off the top of his library? Even if he does only get 1 spell per turn, at least that spell will be more useful than Locust Miser.

thats why you run cards like this with stuff like Sign in Blood and Howling Mine

all I know is if I could make it so that none of my opponents can legally have any hand at all... that'd be BEAST!!!

More effective in multiplayer in both positive (effects more players) and negative (generally speaking, you'll get a bigger target on your head)

Not all that great, but I could imagine it would be pretty useful against opponents in EDH that constantly
