Very interesting card... I'd like to see this card printed one day in a real set. And it should trigger "enters the battlefield abilities"... imagine what kind of crazy decks this would enable if that were the case...

What happens if the top card is Ball Lightning for example? Do you have to sac the top card of your library at the end of turn?
this could make it worthwhile to have a ridiculessly strong creature that you could never hope to summon in your deck

Great card. I have always wondered though, if a creature gets Excommunicated with this down, does it even become summoning sick again?

I'm not sure if this triggers CIP abilities, it simply says they "are in play" not, comes into play. Just like a facedown, already in play Vesuvan Shapeshifter turning face up to copy oh, say, a Mulldrifter won't trigger the mulldrifter's CIP ability because it's already in play.
As for the Ball Lightning, I would still assume you'd have to sac it at the end of turn. Clones get instantly killed too unless you have something like mirari's wake out.

The Unhinged FAQ (http://www.wizards.com/magic/tcg/article.aspx?x=magic/faq/unhinged) says that this triggers "leaves play" effects, but not "comes into play" effects ("enters the battlefield", now). So I'd assume that a Ball Lightning would be sacrificed at the end of the turn you reveal it.
The FAQ also says that creature enchantments are revealed, considered to be in play, and sacrificed because they aren't enchanting anything before you have a chance to do anything with them. Likewise, I think the same would be true of planeswalkers. They are sacrificed as a state-based effect when they run out of loyalty counters, right? Loyalty counters are put on them when they enter the battlefield, but remember, cards on top of your library don't trigger "enters the battlefield" effects with this. So a planeswalker or creature enchantment would be revealed and immediately sacrificed. That's pretty powerful.

So let's say I play this, and I reveal an Opalescence and my opponent reveals a Humility. How do these two cards interact with the same timestamp?

@ deventio7: I believe this spell goes in turn order, so you'd reveal your card first and it enters play, then the player to your left etc.
So, to answer you, I think Humilty would be the 'newer' timestamp in your example
Of course, I could be wrong

I agree in that I would like a card like this to exist in a fully functional set. I want to look for everything that would work well with it, but it seems like kind of waste when I know some of the people I play with won't even acknowledge cards with a silver border.
It works similarly to Renegade Doppelganger in that it doesn't trigger enters the battlefield triggers, but it can trigger leaves the battlefield triggers. This is much easier to trigger those leaves the battlefield triggers with.
(edit) Looking at the official Unhinged FAQ, I'm second-guessing its abilities. The FAQ says that the card triggers leaves the battlefield triggers in a way similar to phasing, but phasing no longer causes leaves the battlefield triggers to trigger (it did at the time the set came out). I really wish they would create official rulings for these cards. :(

With this in play and Vampire Nocturnus on the top of your library, Nocturnus will count himself and boost your vampires. Of course, {R}{R} and a lord that checks for Black cards don't go too well together, but I have this card in a Chaos Magic stack; so many Un-cards are just perfect for the Chaos Magic format, so if you like running monoBlack vampires, this card in my Chaos Stack would help you more than most.

Ultimate combo with 1996 World Champion. for teh lulz.
Basically, get out Yet Another Aether Vortex as quickly as possible. Use one of your many looters to add Claws of Gix to your side of the battlefield, and use your spare mana to sacrifice the extra copies of this enchantment. Add Lotus Bloom if you have the budget for them.

They do not 'enter play', they simply are IN play once the effect resolves.

The best thing about this card? Æther Vortex doesn't exist. If you click that card, it brings you to Yet Another Æther Vortex. And another. And another. And another.

@deventio7 & @moleland Rule 613.6g If two or more objects would receive a timestamp simultaneously, such as by entering a zone simultaneously or becoming attached simultaneously, the active player determines their timestamp order at that time.
TLDR Whoever's turn it is gets to pick which effect is applied first

If you control both Psychic Network and Yet Another Æther Vortex at the same time, you will at times have a permanent in play that you cannot see.

My brother has made a deck around this card, and it's so well built that everyone in our playgroup allows it. Some of it's champions are Eater of Days and Wormfang Manta, since their ETB effects don't activate. Vanishing cards such as Aven Rif***cher and Keldon Marauders are prominent for obvious reasons. He also uses scry to rearrange what will be on his side of the battlefield.
It's not absolutely broken however, since every other player also has the potential to suddenly have their strongest creature on the battlefield, an extra land to tap or an artifact to activate. It murders any creatures that would usually clone something but has 0/0 stats though.

Consider Wormfang Manta.
Firemaw Kavu
Thalakos Seer
Nevermaker
Slithermuse
Spitebellows
Utilizing Azami, Lady of Scrolls with this in a wizard deck (I think it should be blue anyway) would allow you to draw a ridiculous amount of cards, especially when combined with Information Dealer and Descendant of Soramaro.
