Interesting functionality and nice flavor, but not nearly as decent as Flametongue Kavu... Mana and echo cost should have both been dropped by , the echo trigger is literally screaming "you're not going to attack with that guy, dude!" I mean, who is going to spend for a comparably tiny 4/2 body?

I'll take Flametongue Kavu over this any day...notice that the damage is mandatory, so you can be burned by this card, more so than with Flametongue Kavu.

Decent with bounce cards combined with a play-creature ability, or with graveyard manipulation. His ridiculous echo cost is there so you DO lose him. The point of this card is to do 2 damage, block someone, and then do 4 damage. A combined 10 damage OR a way to keep the opponent from attacking while doing 6 damage is quite worth the 6 mana.
People really have no imagination sometimes.

Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.
Remember, you can target itself with the first ability if you REALLY needed to kill that other creature with 4 points of damage. Or with a sac outlet, do all 6 to that creature :)

Combined with two copies of Heartless Summoning, he's two mana for six damage with some splitting options. In a pinch his ETB ability can murder himself to trigger the 4 damage immediately.
