Lands like these are an obvious trade-off, and whether or not it is useful for you should be determined by your personal play preferences.
But there's one problem: they're non-basic, which is almost always a liability, and limits synergy with other cards. Yet you could also argue that they prevent landwalk, so... Whatever. Take it if you like it.

Nonbasic is not a liability. Only few cards have actual synergy with basic lands, you can build around those but being nonbasic is not a drawback in itself.
This card is a liability though because it comes into play tapped. The compensation is that you can sacrifice it for an extra mana boost for that turn, it might be worth in some decks.

This card is a liability though because it comes into play tapped. The compensation is that you can sacrifice it for an extra mana boost for that turn, it might be worth in some decks.
