I keep a baggie with a previously ripped Chaos Confetti that I use when I play and activate a whole copy that is in my deck. Anyone have a problem with that?

Based on the old legend about Chaos Orb where a player supposedly tore it up to destroy his opponents board in the finals of a tournament. The fact that we have such wonderful urban legends as Chaos Confetti and Throat Wolf (make this for Un set 3 please) makes me happy to be apart of this community.

How could a noob use this card. It is like worth over $800. I would love for someone to use this against me i lose my creatures and the game but you lose your card, $800 and maybe the tournament because they only have a deck of 60 cards and now its 59.

If they ever revisit this concept they ought to word it "Tear a Magic card you own into pieces...". This would allow you to rid yourself of cards you don't actually want while also giving you the same satisfaction.

Presumably because it's silver-bordered land, you can tear up your creature that your opponent stole from you in the process, or just some random card in your library or one in your hand. Interestingly though, a creature you tear up probably won't make it to the graveyard.

@kirbster; just use Mirrorweave and Reins of Power.
You'd be able to tear up all their creatures at instant speed, given enough mana. They'd be forced to concede, lol

See Chaos Orb for the art without the rip in the middle.

One of my favorite unglued cards. I run a playset in my unglued deck and rip basic lands up fpr pieces to throw. Ace8792, if these cards are worth $800 (which they aren't. Chaos Orb is only worth $100 and these are less than $1.) I'm sittin on like $6000.

Here's a really long and complicated combo around this card that will probably result in lost friends.
What you need on the field:
Concordant Crossroads(or some enchantment that gives creatures haste, preferably in green)
Fastbond
Mindslaver
Feldon's Cane
A tapped Thran Weaponry
Karn, Silver Golem
Chaos Confetti
Rats of Rath
Mycosynth Lattice
Krosan Restorer enchanted with Freed from the Real
Staff of Domination
Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
Simic Growth Chamber
And maybe some other lands. Doesn't really matter, though, thanks to Mycosynth Lattice. This goes a lot quicker if you've got threshold going.
What you need in your hand:
Sky Swallower
Mirrorweave

Okay so. You start by using Mindslaver to control their next turn. Pass to their turn. From your side, you make nine mana using the infinite mana combo available to your here(tap Simic Growth Chamber, tap Krosan Restorer to untap it, use Freed from the Real to untap Restorer), five of which will be used to flash in Sky Swallower, giving the opponent all permanents you control.

Now, back to the victim you're controlling. Generate a ton of mana using that combo. How much you need will depend on their deck, so just make a ton. Use Rats of Rath to kill off the Teferi. Now use Feldon's Cane to put their graveyard back into their library. Now, since you have infinite mana, use Staff of Domination to give the opponent a ton of life and to draw their entire deck. Use Fastbond to play all their lands and Mycosynth Lattice + infinite mana to play all their other permanents. Now, since they're all artifacts thanks to the Lattice, have Karn make the noncreatures into creatures. This is why you need that Thran Weaponry tapped, so their lands and other 0 cost things don't immediately go to the graveyard.

Back from your side, cast Mirrorweave on the Chaos Confetti so that all creatures(which should now be all permanents) are copies of Chaos Confetti. Proceed to rip all their permanents to shreds.

If your opponent is playing a Vesuvan Doppelganger (or some other shapeshifter,) and you have March of the Machines in play... you can steal the Doppelganger, have it copy the confetti, then tear it up on your opponent's cards.

Convoluted but terribly cruel.

Someone already pointed out the use of Prototype Portal with Blacker Lotus, but it's even more useful with this. Even in the comp rules, the only mention of what a token can be represented by is "small items" (100.2). So if you use Prototype Portal, not only do you get to use the effect of Chaos Confetti without having to tear it up, but you can use any sort of "small item" as a token. Get creative! You could probably figure out something that you can tear up and be able to drop without as much flutter as a card.

I used this once in a kitchen table game. The table was pretty crowded, and it proved very effective. It wiped out one of my creatures, and all my opponents permanents except for two lands. He got mad as hell and I had to promise to never use it again.

Played one in a casual game a couple of days ago - threw it from 5 feet away facing my opponents, and in spite of them having some 24+ permanents, somehow managed to miss every one. ~_~

Still a hilarious card, and fun to play with.

Never play this next to an open window. I tore it up, threw it, and a breeze came through and made it land on my side of the battlefield.

Instead of all these crazy combos of tearing up other people's cards and losing friends, you could just have this with R&D's Secret Lair out on the field. That way, when Chaos Confetti says "destroy each card in play that a piece touches", you can quite literally destroy the cards. You don't get the guarantee of your opponent losing all his/her cards, but it's short, simple, and to the point.

Chaos Confetti, making players think of combos to tear up opponents' cards since 1998.

Here's my Chaos Orb deck. I have a large stack of Chaos Confetti cards at all times because that's my favorite card in the deck. My son built this for me years ago so that I could hang out in card shops without dying of boredom LOL. It's been a long time since I updated it. Obviously a flipping deck, just for fun, but it's still my type of play because I'm not a serious player. I suggest building one for your mom, too!

Artifacts
x4 Chaos Orb, x4 Chaos Confetti, x4 Bottle of Suleiman, x4 Krark's Thumb

Creatures
x4 Mijae Djinn, x4 Wild Wurm, x4 Goblin Bookie, x2 Ydwen Efreet

Sorceries, Enchantments, Instants
x2 Fiery Gambit, x2 Falling Star, x4 Game of Chaos, x2 Mana Clash, x2 Chance Encounter, x2 Goblin Bomb, x2 Desperate Gambit

Here are the cards I'm thinking about adding:
Molten Birth
Orchish Paratroopers
Mana Flair
Dumb Ass
Volatile Rig
Puppet's Verdict
Gamble
Burning Cinder Fury of Crimson Chaos Fire (mostly because I love the name of this card!)

@Ace8792 You understand there are cards like stolen identity right. Can't throw words like noon around if you act like one. :P
