Apparently M12 in trying to give Auras a fighting chance. This, hexproof creatures, auras like Spirit Mantle, Angelic Destiny and Oblivion Ring I think I should blow the dust away from my enchantment deck (not that anyone should care, but my enchantment deck was the first one I actually built) and shape it up to fit into standard. Enchanters, to war!
Decent ability, but not too fond of the art personally :(

Really dig this card, but I'll agree that it could use new art.

Too expensive and too easy to get rid of. Plus she can't attack (without help). I don't know. I think blindthrall has it right, she looks like she'll be excellent but I think in practice she'll be a slot wasted.

Stupid new players playing with new sets don't realize how strong Enchantments can be.

So much worse than Puresteel Paladin. Costs one more, Puresteel has another relevant ability, and also Equipments are better supported with cheap living weapons around.
Also, Enchantresses are supposed to be beautiful. Therefore, they are supposed to be green, like Argothian and Verduran were.

Compare to Puresteel Paladin.. Puresteel is able to move around equipment to whoever needs it, has 0cmc cards to play, is 1 mana cheaper, and can attack on its own. Mesa has a higher number of auras that return to hand when they're sent to the graveyard, and doesn't care if the enchantment is countered.
I think i'll stick with equipment for now.
Edit: I had forgotten about non-aura enchantments (forgive me..), but i still prefer equipment.

She's card advantage. She makes running more than one Personal Sanctuary worth it in that even if you cast a second one, you'll still get to draw a card to replace it, meaning that it (or any other duplicate of an enchantment) is not a waste of a card.
@Gabriel422
She was originally printed in Planar Chaos, and from what I can tell, the color wheel doesn't apply there. Also, she is beautiful, just not Caucasian.
As far as the comparison for to Puresteel, I think you are just thinking about pump auras. Puresteel doesn't work with all artifacts and needs 3 in play for his most useful ability. This card works with ALL enchantment types. Oblivion Ring, Honor of the Pure, Tempered Steel, Asceticism, Rites of Reflourishing, Jace's Erasure, all of the Quests and Ascensions, all of the Umbras...and those are just in standard. This turns every enchantment into a cantrip which allows you to keep your card advantage going. Any white enchantment deck should strongly consider this.

I tried to make her work last night in a draft deck with 3 Pascifisms and 3 Arachnus Webs. Total flop. Card advantage is neat, but when I have to cast two enchantments just to get value out of it (this is considering dropping her is a wasted card in and of itself as a 0/2), and one or two of those extra cards are often lands, it just seems like you need to work too hard to get anything out of it. That and half the time I have her, I want to cast something more aggressive, or I've already used my pacifisms. This cards a miss for me personally.

I begged for this card since I first saw a Verduran Enchantress back in Revised. I am a W fanatic, and since they printed tis, I have seizures convincing myself not to play this card. A few of it's friends are: fastbond, Land Tax, Gossamer Chains, Sigil Of The Empty Throne.
I run 4. Really. Properly used, the #1 sustainable card engine evah.

A bad rare for draft, but in constructed, she can be full of surprise.
With a playset of her, Oblivion Ring, Forced Worship (absolutely broken with her), and Sun Titan, you have a solid skeleton that will work for a couple of deck concepts. I find the Sun Titan quite important since it's a strong 6/6 vigilance beater, but mostly because it can retrieve her, enchantments, lands or other creatures. Oh and a Sun Titan with Spirit Mantle is quite a monster, 7/7 vigilance unblockeable immune to creatures that retrieves permanent, anytime please. The Titan can even retrieve Spirit Mantle from the graveyard on its own the first time you attack with him!
Turn 1: Say Hello Turn 2: Jace's Erasure Turn 3: Mesa Enchantress Turn 4: Leonin Relic-Warder & Birds/Pilgrim Turn 5: Oblivion Ring A (draw) ---> Leonin Relic-Warder, Oblivion Ring B (draw) ---> Oblivion Ring A, Leonin Relic-Warder ---> Oblivion Ring B etc. ---> Infinite Draw (Enchantress) ---> Mill opponent to death (Jace's Erasure)
One could also use Laboratory Maniac, but Jace's Erasure fits better with the enchantment theme and isn't quite as suicidal.

Skillic, I'm afraid your combo doesn't work. Mesa Enchantress triggers when you cast a spell, and once you're created the loop no spells are being cast.
However with just one Oblivion Ring you can create an infinite loop of your Relic-Warder entering the battlefield. You can use Cream of the Crop to start digging through your library, or Pandemonium or Warstorm Surge to kill your opponent. Or, even better, both! Now I've got to make that deck...

A great card, I was always a fan of auras, and now with things like Angelic Destiny, Greater Auramancy, Kor Spiritdancer and a bunch of new Hexproof creatures, enchantments can finally be used pretty well. Good to hear it!
Suck on it equipment!

forced worship combos with her, but is just a terrible card. youre much better off playing flickering ward, which is very good by itself, and the combo only costs WW to repeat.

Combos with Rancor? I guess this is good for constructed. So many better options out there for standard (imo) that aren't going to rotate. Like the Mentor of the Meek/ Thraben Doomsayer combo. I want to give this better then a 3.5 but it's definitely not a 4.

While it's severely outclassed by Kor Spiritdancer, it's much more affordable because of it. A decent option if you're building an Aura deck on a budget.

Then you have some options for the rest of the deck, Angelic Destiny, Spirit Mantle, Honor of the Pure, Intangible Virtue, Tempered Steel, Bonds of Faith, Pacifism, Arrest, Nevermore (SB card), Exclusion Ritual (SB card) are some obvious options that will let you build a variety of deck (humans, tokens, auras...), but when you start looking around in other colors, you can find a lot of other very interesting choices.
