Strictly worse than Vitality Charm, could have been +2/+2 to bring it in line with a whole bunch of other pump spells. No doubt we'll see that version some day. For now, this is still a useful trick in an infect draft deck. Amusingly, the toughness boost is less likely to save a creature fighting an infect guy.

It gives trample for a low cost though, which pretty much all infect needs to win in many cases.

This cart has considerable impact on limited just by existing. Chumpblocking infect fatties is lot riskier now.

People downrating this card did not see the words "Trample" and "Instant" together.
This is a game winner right here.

Block with your 0/1 plant token? Unnatural Predation.
You're blocking with multiple creatures? Virulent Swipe.

Great card to get your opponent stressed out.

With all of these better versions of Giant Growth, what's the point in still having the original around?

What a great combat trick. Insta-Trample for {G}? That's almost as Looney Tunes as Rancor was back in the day. God I love combat tricks.

The art depicts a Putrefax.
Odd choice, give that it's already trampley.

Very sweet in limited now all the infectdudes have gone bigger. Ineed, as mentioned before, reminds of the crazy OP Rancor. Though this is perfectly balanced.

Is it just me or is it impossible to open a Mirrodin Besieged booster and not get Unnatural Predation? Not that I'm complaining, this is a great card, but still. I have way too many copies.

I don't really feel this card is underrated, I just think this little guy is misunderstood.
He goes great slapped on an Ichorclaw Myr that just got chump blocked early game, as well as a Phyrexian Vatmother.

I run three Bonehoard in my B/G Infect deck, and again, this card can be a sneaky way to win the game once you have your opponent on the ropes.

Guess I don't need to waste money on putrefax after all. Now that I think of it, without putrefax I won't njeed a corpse cur either, so I can actually make my infect deck have useful abilities.

This is cheaper than Strength in Numbers if you only have one attacking creature, but can't scale up to become a legit pump spell.

Would be cool if it gave it haste, like the Fax, but I like it anyway.

It has it's uses, but I usually prefer the larger power boost of Giant Growth.

The obvious: Strictly worse than Vitality Charm.
@HuntingDrake -- I doubt we'll ever see that card you describe. It would remove giant growth from most people's decks... forever. And, it wouldn't save from infect because the -1/-1 counters would kill it later anyway. The card you really want to describe as a better possibility would've read, "Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. That creature gains trample until end of turn."
