, : Win one tenth of the game, regardless of your chosen win condition. Very apt name for this one.
Playwise, though, this seems like crap at first glance. It's eight mana for just the first activation and doesn't benefit much from proliferate or untap effects. I get the feeling that they might be gearing up for an effect that reduces the activation costs of artifact abilities in the third set. In the meantime, Myr Welder and Training Grounds might make this semi-playable.

this card is nice because it can fit into multiple strategies. milling 6 cards for 4 isn't bad, 4 for a poison counter isn't bad at all either. and 4 for a poison counter and 6 cards and 2 life is nice, especially in multiplayer. @demonic math tutor If you are building a deck with ONLY that card then you are an idiot for even saying a comment like that. of COURSE people are going to be using more cards to meet their ends. DUH! when people try to say stuff like "It will take forever to win the game with this!" are people who don't see a deck using it, they see a card winning the game by itself. I see myself using it in my infect deck because if they have a gideon out, I can't attack with my creatures so having a card that takes options away from my opponent in the form of milling, and giving them a poison counter as well, this is freakin sweet.

I love it. Sure, three ways to win might be overkill, but the versatility is amazing, and the mill reduces their options, even if you have no actual intention of winning from it. I figure its place in standard is in a "barely infect" Blue splash Black, using Thrummingbird, Tainted Strike, and Corrupted Conscience.

Great idea. Still unplayable garbage though. In a deck that wins by dealing damage, the 2 life loss ain't good enough for that mana cost. The mill? Unless you play a dedicated mill deck, milling your opponent will help him. And if you play a mill deck, the milling ain't effective enough. And the poison: too slow. 8 mana for the first poison counter by this card is horrible.
So, great idea, funny card, but absolutely unplayable in any constructed deck.

This card helped me go 4-0 at the prerelease. It's deceptively useful to have a card that can put that first poison counter on an enemy without having to worry about the Mirran defensive line. There were a couple games where I couldn't get my Infect creatures through, and I couldn't kill any of his creatures with Virulent wound. This card got the first poison counter on, allowing me to proliferate them to death.

I think that it should deal more than 2 damage. If they do nothing and you do nothing, it will kill them with damage the same time it kills them with poison, but poison is worth much more than 2 damage. You cant cure poison, Leeches is the only card that does it and its not in standered. Just as the mill one will kill faster than the other ones if the enemy is playing with a 60 card deck, the damage one should kill faster if they dont gain life, sense its much more likely than them running leeches.

I think this card would be fun just because of how annoying it is. It has loss of life, poison counters, and mill- all the most irksome things a deck can throw at you. It's main strength lies in the fact that it'll be extremely difficult to deal with all three issues simultaneously; even if you regain life, the poison will still stack up, and even if you find a way to remove the counters, your deck'll still be running out. It'll definitely kill your opponent by itself in 10 turns (though it'd be better if you had more 'n' one out); the only issue you still face is keeping yourself alive in the meantime. So stall, stall, stall.

well i give it 4 cause it allows u to get a poison counter on the player and with proliferate as long as u have a counter on u can increase it so it is a way to get on on and reduce life and potentally take away some good cards and possibly put some creatures into his or her graveyard and if u have a card like bonehoard in your deck this gets cards flowing into the graveyard so when u get it out it is more effective and lets not underestimate the damage aspect sometimes two damage can make or break a game i think this is an awsome card because if u have 4 mana u can do all that especially if u are at a creature standoff and did i mention the poison i think that makes it but yeah it is basically just support card definetly not something u base a deck on but some dam good support card

People who say this card sucks need to learn some patience. This thing is usually at the center of my endgame. I'm playing a tricolor infect/counter deck right now and this is always the single card I want to get out earliest, along with Unbender Tine or Voltaic Key so I can keep using it as often as possible before it gets destroyed. By then, I have enough lands to play Phyrexian Hydra, Bonehoard, and Unnatural Predation. Last time I used this combo, I finished the game with a 36/36 Hydra with infect and trample. The infect is even more useful since it HALVES the damage the Hydra has to actually get through.

In a booster draft this is a pretty decent card for milling because no one is going to take it. Combined with the at least two shriekhorns that no one wants and it will only be about three uses to mill for the win. In most other circumstances it is probably not worthwhile though.

Drafted this card today (got it as a 5th pick or something). In the next pack I open, I get a Geth, Lord of the Vault . I milled out my opponent while doing damage and ressurecting their entire graveyard under my control! They comboed so well it was hillarious. Should have seen the face on the guy who got his Steel Hellkite and Volition Reins milled out in one go. Then had to fight his own Steel Hellkite the next turn... So in my experience, this card is awesome in draft. When the game has lasted for so long that you have too much mana to use on cards, its an excellent mana outlet. (You only have to use it 4-5 times in order to mill out your opponent in a draft!)

Maybe their trying to encourage Johnny here.
Can you make a deck that Poisons & Kills at the exact same time? If so, you are an uber-Johnny. If you can Poison, Kill, & Mill at the same time, you are the Johnny god.
Really the card makes a lot of sense.
Indirect, unstoppable, and repeatable poison costs 4 with contagion clasp or Engine with proliferate. 2 Damage has never been repeatable for less total mana, unless it involves some kind of sacrifice clause. Mill 6 rarely happens for less mana, and certainly never in 1 card.
Though it's really not such a bad late draft selection, especially if you can't find something in your colors. Slapping those last bits of poison on can be a real pain. And considering most decks are at 40, and stalls are common, repeatable milling 6 can be pretty terrifying.

Interesting flavor, terrible card. I like the idea of hitting my opponent on multiple fronts, and the mill might be good in a deck with some reanimation strategies/graveyard abuse. Just don't see playing this in constructed, though. Very slow, and not focused enough. Even control decks will find this card difficult to use, as your mana is often tied up elsewhere with counters and kill spells. Simply put, there are more efficient ways of putting down your opponent.

I haven't read all of the comments here, but I've read a fair few of them. Some say Decimator Web's terrible because it divides its power between three completely different basic strategies, and some like it because it's fun and good in multiplayer, etc.
As yet, I haven't noticed anyone pointing out that it's not actually as daft as it may look at a glance. It is, for example, possible to reasonably introduce milling into a strategy that seeks to win via dealing damage. Wight of Precinct Six, Bonehoard, and Havengul Lich are a few cards that would be enthusiastic about large opponent graveyards (although, admittedly, in the case of Havengul Lich some clever mana-fixing would be required for it to make proper use of them), but don't necessarily want to win by milling alone. In this case, both damage dealt and cards milled contribute towards a victory.
This card has its place in a very specific sort of deck, and therefore isn't as completely useless as some here seem to think. Sometimes you gotta think outside the box, and consider the lilies of the field, and fight for your right to paaarrrrtayyy, and junk, yeah?

One big problem with this card is that trying to deck someone half-heartedly is usually a bad idea (because so many decks can benefit from having cards in their graveyard.) I actually think it'd be better if you had to choose one or two of its effects rather than getting all three.
SAUS3
☆☆☆☆☆ (0.0/5.0)
It's a nice silly/jank card, but I don't think it is very good.
If you are going for a poison kill, you're better off with better infect cards and then finishing them with proliferate if you can't get the last bit in.
If you are going for a regular kill (bring them to 0 life), you can find better cards to do so. This card is okay for it, but consider that you won't be doing anything on your turns because so much mana would be dumped into this thing. It's almost like a rod of ruin (althout still WAY better than that card lol).
If you are going for a mill kill, it's okay, but not spectacular. It mills more than sands of delirium for cost, but the thing about sands of delirium is that you don't need to mill much. It's good because it can use any amount of mana you have left over after casting some critical counterspells or removal spells.
I think it was made to be in a deck that uses Geth, lord of the vault. The mill will help you find targets for him, and you are killing them with whatever they have. If they have almost no targets in their deck, mill them to death. If they are playing infect, infect them to death. If they have regular creatures, just beat them down.
For that reason alone, 5/5. Super awesome tech for geth EDH.

Idea's great, just not for this Magic player!
Without Voltaic Key, of course
Clearly we had different play styles in mind: I play mostly multiplayer, where this card can be a lot of fun. He plays mostly standard constructed, so I can understand the difference of opinion.

Just imagine laying it down and activating it ten times in a row immediately. MMM. Delicious.
Also it currently costs 10 cents, so that's cool.
