Well, that's just great. Especially with all these new defensive cards and cards that slow the game down...

I've tried proxying this into a mill deck, and I win almost every time I get it out within 3 turns. Milling 15 cards with hedron crabs, Archive trap, and Tome Scour is easy.

Won me a close match at the prerelease, my opponent used All is Dust which destroyed my creature with Eldrazi Con***ion along with all my other creatures. He had Ulamog's Crusher out still and I was at 20. Due to the amount of permanents he put in the graveyard because of his all of dust though, I was able to get him to 0 cards in 2 turns.

probably won't work well in standard if anybody sideboards a gaia's blessing eldrazi.

One of the best mill cards in the set, right next to Hedron Crab, despite its cost, because if it's being used in a mill-control deck, it's practically T7 win. This card kicked my butt in limited.

if you put in someRavenous Trap, when you opponents big Eldrazis put their gaia's blessing effect on the stack you can just remove their whole graveyard.

Good in mill. lol for obviousness! In standard should sideboard in Sacrament (and maybe Scrib Nibblers?) right away to rip out your shuffleldrazis that will definetly show themselves.

It makes me kind of sad that they printed an amazing finisher like this for mill decks...and then completely nerfed its utility by printing the legendary eldrazi. Oh well, mill decks were just obnoxious to play against anyways.

Even used alone, the damage this thing does is exponential.

Amazing card for Mill decks. Makes mill more viable for EDH due to the fact that its not only repeatable but gets bigger each time it triggers. And for the Eldrazi Legends, or any "shuffle into library" cards, if you mill your opponent to just those cards (and unless they have other uses your opponent will likely only have one in his deck), if you mill them down to just the legend, they'll draw it, and hten next turn they lose

Mill decks get this shiny new toy and yet Wizards releases the three legendary Eldrazi. I would love playing this card, yet with almost all decks having either a main deck Eldrazi or at least a sideboard one, I feel as though this is rendered useless. Great card design, but wrong time to be released.

when you think about it tho, mill decks are hopeless against eldrazi decks because of the "Shuffle your gravyard into your library" effect they have. So it will inevitabley go like this.
Mill to almost nil Oh hey an eldrazi! Start from scratch.

This card more often than not in a mill deck puts your opponent on a two turn time limit. It costs a bit, but it's a mill finisher to consider putting in your deck.
This will win you the game by itself, and there's not a whole lot of hate going around.

Well, if your milling is interupted by a legendary eldrazi, interupt the relsoving ability with a walking atlas tap and dropping a bojuka bog. Sure, your keening stone stops its progress, but you do get rid of a legendary eldrazi and don't have to start completely over.

II was playing my infamous portcullis deck, one of my favorites, and my friend played this card. I had a counter, but i figured why not? I dont have any cards in grave, and if i did, I doubt it will be an issue. So next turn I unsummon a guy, one card in grave.
I lost by mill.
All my win strategies were being arrested or taken on a journey to nowhere, which usually wouldnt be a problem, i can just make more. But every turn the keening stone clock was ticking...
I've hated mill decks since way back when, when they sucked.
With this card, Wizards really went overboard making a boring f-ing strategy work.

I love this card so much. I run two in Blue/White control/mill and another in Blue/Black control/death/mill-ness and this is usually what wins the game for me in the first deck. Although it is expensive if you don't have much if any mana acceleration, I find that by the time I can afford to get this out, there are enough cards in the graveyard to win by next turn.
Thanks Wizards :)

Thinking about combining this into my Karador, Ghost Chieftain EDH deck as another form of graveyard tutoring. Deck has enough recursion of any type to make it potentially viable. Any thoughts?
It was from this stone that the blade which could tap into the Heart of Lorkhan was made

Yes, it has cost but honestly this is an excellent finisher for any deck that exploits the card-loss function. What I love about it herein is its flexibility.
--- What's hilarious moreover is that the more you use it the more powerful it gets.
5 (for example) becomes 10, 10 becomes 20 and 20 becomes 40. now imagine loosing 1 life for each card put in the graveyard.
