@ OWNdizzaled: as a hard counter, this is still better than Mana Leak for formats like Commander, where there's always loads of mana around.

better than mana leak. for 1 extra mana, you completly eliminate any possibility of an opponent countering, unless they counter your counter o_o

If Dissipate and Counterspell didn't exist, this would be my #1 pick for a hard counter AND would probably be rated much higher. That being said, Cancel is still a solid choice. 3 mana to counter anything? Thank you very much.
