Shouldn't this have the lifelink keyword?

It did, but Wizards changed the wording of lifelink with the latest core set, and it was changed back to it's old wording.

This would be fun to mix in with older thrull cards.

Strictly better than Bog Imp.

@UbdU01: I believe it should have had its ability errataed to lifelink, since the life gain triggers on any damage, not just combat damage.

@Milliman: Yes, Mourning Thrull's life-stealing ability does in fact stack with lifelink, because it doesn't really have lifelink. So yeah, if you enchant it with Lifelink, you'd gain twice the damage dealt as life. However be careful - Mourning Thrull's life-stealing ability is a triggered ability, which means that it goes on the stack, as opposed to the static lifelink ability. This means two things: First off, your opponent can counter it with effects such as Stifle, and secondly, as opposed to with the lifelink ability, you won't get the life the instant the Thrull deals damage. If your Thrull is 100/1, you're at 1 life (with only the Thrull on the battlefield), and your opponents attacks you with 2 1/1 creatures, you'd die because your life goes to 0 before you gain the life from the Thrull's attack - as opposed to with lifelink, where you'd gain the 100 life from the Thrull's attack at the same time that you're dealt damage, which means that you wouldn't lose the game, and your life total would be 99 once the dust settled.

As for my own experiences with Mourning Thrull, I think it's absolutely brilliant. I've actually won games on the back of a Mourning Thrull paired with Unspeakable Symbol, and the power boost that BW received with the Eventide block only made it much more playable. Used in the right deck, for example paired with Edge of the Divinity, it can easily win you a couple of games fairly quickly.

Is this considered to be both Black and White or one of the two. whichever was paid for the Mana cost?

No, this should NOT be errata'd to say lifelink. Lifelink does not stack with itself; this ability not only stacks with itself, but with lifelink as well, as many times as you can give it.

The only fact that make this card not strictly better than Bog Imp is that this is also white. However, overall so much more preferible than the Imp, because of proto-lifelink! Even without pumping it with Edge of the Divinity this can drain quite a few life, letting you get a much better position. I like it very much! I used to dislike WhiteBlack before Ravnica, but now it's maybe my second color pair, right after BlueRed...

Solid 1/1 flier for WhiteBlack decks! Lifelink (and maybe Edge of the Divinity) go a long way. Also consider Vault Skirge, which can cost 1 and 2 life for roughly the same thing, but which is unstackable with lifelink and which doesn't reap the benefits of the aforementioned aura.

Sadly, inferior to Vault Skirge in general, though I suppose the combo with Edge of the Divinity might be worth it.

My Orzhov deck prefers this to Vault Skirge. Edge of the Divinty is nice enough, but Deathbringer Liege just makes everything that much better.
