And when you cascade into it from Bloodbraid Elf.

It also serves great in a fungus deck, makes your sapro's 4/4 blockers when spawned on an opponents turn, i bet you he won't like that!

Green got several good Haste creatures in Planar Chaos. Uktabi Drake, Timbermare, Groundbreaker. And don't forget, any creature that comes into play from Suspend has Haste. Then there are Flash creatures for surprise blockers. Scryb Ranger, Ashcoat Bear, Sprout (yea, the last one isn't strictly speaking a creature, but it puts a creature into play at instant speed so it counts).

My friend recently mentioned that the Forcemage would be great with Elemental Mastery on a creature with high power. I think he's right. :-)

Don't forget the synergy with Murderous Redcap. Nine damage for four mana? Yes please.

Primal Forcemage should definitely be used in a haste deck.
Green alone has a lot of cards that can take advantage of the boost; Uktabi Drake, Groundbreaker, Giant Solifuge, Vengevine, Putrefax, and to some extent Gaea's Revenge, not to mention Aluren for some sick instant tricks.

Red also has some great creatures for use with the Forcemage: Hell's Thunder, Hellspark Elemental, Spark Elemental, Glitterfang and Viashino Sandstalker being some of them. Be careful not to overextend though - playing both Groundbreakers and Ball Lightnings isn't a good idea unless you've got the mana base to do it.

You'll win pretty quickly if you follow up with a Firecat Blitz, especially considering green is the colour of mana ramping.

It's weird how much this green card wants creatures with haste, given that haste is only sort of in green sometimes when they feel like pushing the power level on a creature.

Hahaha! Combo with Garruk's Packleader to make every creature that comes into play cantrip or better.

Stalking Yeti is devastating with this card.

I run these in a Fires of yavimaya deck with 20 double striking creatures.

A very interesting build-around-me card. I like it.

He doesn't work with where ancients tread. It checks their toughness before anything can happen to it besides static effects. Check out the ruling on the card's page. Anywho, to add, I like it with hornet cannon and thalids! nothing like making 4/4 saprolings and wasps. Make your saprolings on your opponent's end step, and you've got a bunch of 4/4's for swinging with!

A bit costly, but this is extremely powerful and can be a game-ender if used with a token generator and Chancellor of the Forge.

Pandemonium wrap your head around that for a moment.

Don't forget Pandemonium or Warstorm Surge. This will add a free bolt onto every creature you cast.

In a Fires of Yavimaya deck, you can cast Saproling Burst, make 6 tokens, and each would gain the +3/+3 and are haste for a total of 24 damage (along with other creatures).

Far superior to Yeva's Forcemage, unfortunately.

Umm...combos with creatures. With haste...derpa derp.

Seriously though, Thatcher Revolt and Bloodbraid Elf. Groundbreaker and Strangleroot Geist. Wolf run ramp for Modern?

Primal Forcemage now includes additional use for evolving creatures continuously with the release of Gatecrash. He should be a pretty solid player in such a deck.

So if you use Elemental Mastery, you get two 4/4 tokens for each turn?

Evolve? Does that work?
