Type 2: This is a pretty decent card. Very versatile...hates on Red Aggro (stupid Hell's Thunder! The draw is nice too. I'd rate this closer to 3 cars than to 2 stars.

The draw effect makes it too expensive in mana cost. Keeping 3 mana unused is a bit hard for some damage prevention. I would still prefer a version with scry and lower cmc.... or maybe with the draw before the tap/untap effect (since you could untap your land if you've drawn a better spell)

unban, you're right. esper sojourners is better than this card in every way except that cycling cannot be played as an instant.

Playing Planechase with Glimmervoid Basin out is the only reason I've been glad to have this card instead of Esper Sojourners.

While it's versatile, I think it shouldn't be used strictly as an answer for creatures. You might as well play Repulse if creature lock down is all you want to do with with twitch.

Or the Ice-part of Fire//ice. That even goes well on a scepter
