I can see how pricey this card's getting, so I'll just quietly get my hands on some Cloudshift and enjoy not having to keep four mana open for the bounce effect. I know I don't get the flying body, but please try not to remind me of what I would have with more disposable income.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but here's an amazing combo with this card:
1. Make sure you have a Champion of the Parish, a Fiend Hunter, and two Restoration Angels on the battlefield. 2. Cast Ghostly Flicker, targeting both Restoration Angels. 3. Both Angels return, target the Fiend Hunter with both abilities. 4. When the first Angel enters the battlefield, Fiend Hunter is exiled, then returns. 5. Target the first Angel with Fiend Hunter, exiling it. 6. The second Angel then returns, exiling Fiend Hunter again. 7. Before the first Angel can return, the second Angel's ability finishes resolving, returning Fiend Hunter. 8. Target the second Angel with Fiend Hunter's ability. 9. Repeat steps 4 through 8 again and again.
Champion of the Parish gets a +1/+1 counter each time Fiend Hunter enters the battlefield, giving the Champion near-infinite power! (If it was infinite, the loop would never end, and the duel would go on forever.)

Best card in Avacyn Restored in my opinion. Saves a creature, kills a creature, triggers an ETB and swings for 3 in the air, sometimes all at once.

Goldnight Redeemer is why she says non-Angel. I'm sure of it. Well, or maybe it's because of the Powerpuff Girls and Utonium Angel. Yeah, that could be it too. They don't have ETB effects, but even if Sigurda and Avacyn were on the field at once, you would enjoy being able to use this girl to save them from the few things that would otherwise be able to stop them.

@Darthparallax - I am pretty sure she cant flicker angels so she cant flicker herself. She could be a one card infinite cip combo, and that would be nuts.
@LilyOola - Both angels would return at the same time and need to choose targets at the same time. When the Fiend Hunter flickers he would come back as a 'new' permanent breaking the second angel target. So the result would be a fiend hunter exiling an angel, an angel, and a champ with one extra counter.
Now I have a modified version that I am pretty sure would work, but am not sure about. Setup: Have a Champion of the Parish, a Fiend Hunter exiling a Restoration angel(Angel 1), and either a second Restoration angel(angel 2) in hand. 1. Cast the angel, targeting the hunter with the ETB trigger. 2. The whole instant flicker resolves, then you put both the 'return exiled creature' and 'exile a creature' triggers on the stack in that order. Target Angel 2 with the exile trigger. 3. The exile trigger resolves, exiling Angel 2. 4. The return trigger resolves, returning Angel 1. 5. Angel 1's trigger goes on the stack, targeting the hunter. This is effectively step one, and you have an infinite loop of human CIPs. It can also be broken by choosing not to target anything with the fiend hunter.

Then basically a phase ability!
Pulled this in the prerelease. I didn't win, but I was able to play it and the potential it has is great. Declare a block, flash it into play, keep your blocker alive, flash it in as a blocker herself. The biggest use will be "come into play" effects, but it is a good white creature.
Would have been much cooler as a 4/4 for with: "When Restoration Angel enters the battlefield, you may exile target non-Angel creature you control, then return that card to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it under your control."

★★☆☆☆ (2.7/5.0)(3 votes)
@DarthParallax: Restoration Angel itself is the reason why it says non Angel. 2 Restoration Angels would mean infinite EtB Trigger. Combine that with Soul Warden et al. for infinite Life or Warstorm Surge for instant win.
A 3 Card Combo with itself playable cards would be a little to much imho, and I guess WotC thought the same ;)

Wait? "non-angel"???
WHAT? How is that not "except human insects, human wizards and giants, oh my" -- the only wording that makes any sense?
Now snapcaster has a bigger sister that spoils him by picking him up and putting him where he wants to be. Freaking giants got even more evasion. Was that REALLY necessary??!? Where is the "destroy target mythic creature or planeswalker, or counter target mythic spell or miracle" instant?
What did curse decks get in Avacyn Restored again? Oh. They got completely wrecked with no new curses AND an artifact DESIGNED to make curses useless.
WHILE Delver and his brother Snapcaster got another tool in their toolbox. Not rating this card because it's Snapcaster v2 and I really don't like the potential power of the cards.
It can save any creature targeted by a spell. It can change soulbond on your opponent's turn as a response to spells cast. It can give you back another Vapor Snag or Cancel or Go for the Throat, or Day of Judgment, or any other card.
Seriously. Restoration Angel can target Snapcaster targeting Cloudshift targeting the target angel Restoration Angel cannot..!
I'd get 4 if the price didn't beat most of the mythic rares the first day.

For those who don't "get" this card, it's called Restoration Angel for a reason. Whenever a creature leaves play it loses all damage and counters and when it comes into play it's untapped. Flash allows Restoration Angel to swoop in and essentially save almost any creature you have in combat.
Where it will really becomes a nightmare is when it starts setting off infinite flicker combos which'll trigger "comes into play" and "leaves play" conditional abilities an unlimited number of times.

Great card, excellent abilities and body for 4CMC. However, the art is incorrect. Instead of a human soldier, it should be a Thragtusk.
Conspiracy doesn't combo with this card. The creature type you choose doesn't override any types your creatures already have, so Restoration Angel would still be an Angel.

Since he won't normally be able to tap right after coming back from Restoration Angel, you need to add a global haste card (such as Fervor or Urabrask) in order to make the Kiki-Jiki combo net you infinite Angels. Its basically a 3 card Deceiver Exarch + Splinter Twin.

I don't really think that she is all that amazing, chances are when you have four mana just laying around it will be later in the game. Cloudshift does the same thing for three mana less. I'd get 4 if the price didn't beat most of the mythic rares the first day.
I found that it could also work like this:
Setup:
Any card with "Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, XXX"
Here are some examples:
- Cathars' Crusade
- Angelic Chorus
One Fiend Hunter on the battlefield. (Doesn't have to be exiling anything)
In your hand you have another Fiend Hunter and a Restoration Angel.
How to do the infinite loop of creatures entering the game:
First you cast the second Fiend Hunter, and have it exile the first Fiend Hunter on the battlefield. Then you cast the Restoration Angel, and have it exile the second Fiend Hunter. As the second Fiend Hunter leaves the battlefield, the first Fiend Hunter re-enters the battlefield, which you then have exile the Restoration Angel. As the second Fiend Hunter re-enters the battlefield, have it exile the first Fiend Hunter, which then returns the Restoration Angel to the battlefield. Repeat the process as the Restoration Angel returns.
This will cause the abilities on other cards to activate as many times as you'd like.
For Cathars' Crusade you need other creatures to put the +1/+1 counters on.
