The 2 mana and flash make it perfect for turn 2, either opponent plays a spell that "NEEDS" to be countered or you get your flash bear.
It can return Restoration Angel to your hand.
And the rarity is common?

This card brings Resto Angels, Augurs, other deputys, Snapcasters, and any other random creature you'd be playing with it back to your hand for the low price of two and out of harm's way after blockers are assigned. For a common it is simply beautiful for constructed and limited formats.

Actually, the human part is my favorite, I think. Azorius humans gets a little better. Being able to reuse detains is the obvious intention for this, and the low CMC of an aggro deck negates returning things to hand.
Changing Whitemane Lion's colorless to a blue buys you the words 'you may'. And what sweet words they are.

Am I the only one feeling that Wizards put too much emphasis on the whole comes-into-play tricks during this two blocks? It's neat and all, but rather repetitive.

I love the Azorius flavor this set. It's hilarious.

The words "you may" make this card so stupidly good.

Quite possibly the best common in Dragon's Maze.

This card is...*tears*...a very good reason for me to believe that we can continue hoping on seeing very valuable common cards as the game advances. I'm a casual player and I'm all for increasing the power level of the lower echelons of rarity. 5/5 because I can't grade it beyond that!

What an obnoxiously good card, and at common rarity no less. The tricks with it are absurd. Running Bant? Block with your Thragtusk when you know it'd die, but wait! Before damage is dealt, bounce it to your hand, and gain that 3/3 token, and replay your Thragtusk on your next turn.
Among other THOUSANDS of tricks. So stupid. And common. What. What is this.

This, and a twin can block forever. Not only that, but the denizens like this card.

This could have been printed as an uncommon and it would still be Amazing! 4.5/5
Anyone wanna tell me wtf the point of using this to return Restoration Angel back to your hand is? This card serves the same exact function, minus having to pay for the creature again.
How is this only rated a 4?! It's stupidly strong at common, with its only 'restriction' being that you have to at least run Azorius colors to play it effectively--and with how common Bant and 'Murica decks are, this card deserves at least a 4.5!

If the blocks don't fit, you must acquit!
This is a flash creatures that targets on a may. This will trigger heroic even if you don't return the creature to you hand. So it can be a flash heroic trigger that drops a bear.

My deck I currently use in Standard is almost all enchantments and enchantment creatures, so it's massively weak to removal. This is a really beautiful solution to that, especially with the scarcity of flash in blue/white Standard. And that solution comes attached to a grizzly bear, so you really can't go wrong.

This one time i managed to draft 5 of these in a DGM draft. Man that was a fun night, they couldnt do anything to hurt me xD Just declare blockers and flash in another deputy. It was beautiful. Needless to say i won :P
Nasty synergy with the new Ephara, God of the Polis. Flash in this dude on opponents turn (to save a blocker/blank removal/for the heck of it), draw a card, replay the dude you bounced, draw a card. Also ups her devotion by 2.

that is not quite right. creatures with flash still have to enter the battle feild to trigger their ability so it is no longer a spell and therefore cannot trigger heroic which requires a spell to target the heroic creature. Just trying to prevent the spread of misinformation... still a great card though!

Anyone else get the impression that the rating is this low simply because it's a common, because I feel like it would be at least a 4 if it were rare. Considering it is a neat little trick that, among other uses, can blink out a creature targeted with a hard removal spell, it deserves higher. It can also be used to reset a card with a good ETB effect without netting you minuses. At the very least it makes for a surprise bear, something that proves quite useful in colors that have a lot of draw power and not much one-for-one removal. I'm giving it a 4, It's not terribly flashy but it is a good card nonetheless.

I thought it sucked when I saw it in the 25 cent common box, but I had just bought a blue/white intro pack so I grabbed it anyways. And wow, I'm gonna go back for 3 more cuz I love it. I use it to reset Clone, Jace's Mindseeker, Fiend Hunter, and Lyev Skyknight. It's also good for saving creatures before they die from battle or card effects, how is it only a common and how is the rating on here so low.
EDIT 3/3/2014: Well, I was wrong. It's odd, it seems strong, but things just didn't work out for it. The reason it never took off in UW Control is obvious; the deck has only 1 creature and it can protect itself just fine. It seems like it should be fantastic in Esper Humans.

Its a human, so it buffs Champion of the Parish
