This is one of those cards that looks merely decent at first, perhaps even overcosted. However, I found to my pleasant surprise that combining this with cards like Cloudshift makes it very good, since it removes a blocker and swings for at least 3 right away. An interesting combo if playing B/R is to use this and then Killing Wave for 0. You can pay 0 life for the con***s, but refuse to pay for whatever creature you stole.
And that's just with creatures.
Steal an Anthem effect. Check Steal a Sword. Check. Steal a Planeswalker. Check.
I'll admit, I didn't like this card when it was previewed, but I've changed my mind after playing with it.

I can't believe I thought about this just being a walking Act of Treason. Stealing any of their permanents has so many uses such as taking they're blocker or an equipment. Haste puts it over the top for me. 4.5/5
Steal a creature, attack with it, then Cloudshift it. Boom, that creature is now yours for good.
Or, if you have enough mana, Ghostly flicker. You can steal a land, creature, or artifact; flicker it and the con***s to keep it forever; then steal another thing for the turn.

With this you don't necessarily have to use bombs in your own deck, simply steal them from other people. That gives you more space for burn, which is what red does best.

I was low on life, my opponent had a Sorin Markov in play. As soon as it hit 8 loyalty, I dropped this, and stole his markov. He was at exactly 21 life, and had a Griselbrand in hand. I love this card, running 2 in my Boros Humans deck.

This led to one of my favorite kills last night at FNM. I was playing R/G aggro in the top 8 against a mono-black post deck. Aftering Mutilateing me twice, Black Sun Zenithing me twice wiping my board each time, I had managed to take him down to four.
I played this stealing his Phylactery Lich forcing him to sac it, on his turn he dropped a Mortar Pod after clearing my board one last time. With one of these in hand I dropped it, stole his Mortar Pod, equipped it, swung for 3 and sacced it for exactsies. Thank you again sideboardedZealous Con***s

This is edh gold for red decks. One of very few answers red has for dealing with enchantments like Aura Shards. Steal it, drop a creature or make a token creature, and use it to blow itself up.
