Jeez. Who voted bad for this card. This card is crazy. It says gain control of target tarmogoyf! A lot of the creatures that are played in extended only cost 2 or less.
Anyone who's using a ravager would be a fool not to sac it to itself if it's being stolen. Nonetheless, 3 cost kill spell in that case. Just hope there aren't any other artifact creatures out.

I assume if the enchantment is removed, the creature is returned to the player that controlled the creature before it became enchanted.
i get why it's rated well, but i don't understand why so high when you could just pay one more colorless mana for control magic which is nonrestrictive. and then outclass control magic with treachery, but 3 to five is a considerable increase.

...or Primordial Hydra, or Protean Hydra, or Mikaeus, the Lunarch. At 2CMC for the creature you get, and 1CMC for the fact that they no longer have that creature (until they draw some enchantment removal), I'd say it's pretty fairly costed.

Surprisingly, this could work well in legacy.

This beats control or removal because you gain board position (they lose a creature, you gain one), then it's just insane if the controlled creature kills another one. Funnel, board position and a possible 2 for 1, for 3? Outstanding.

This wins games in Modern Format. Shouldn't even need an explanation with the huge list of two drop targets...

@raptorman333 Control magic is not legal in the Modern format (it has been reprinted for Commander, but other than that, it isn't legal in much). Additionally, many modern decks are built to win on turn 2-3, which increases the need for a low cost enchantment and actually mitigates the drawback (since a lot of the creatures you see will be below 2 cmc). Put those two together and you get why this card is $13+.

You're sure to win Goyf wars if you take the one from your opponent to your side of the table.
