No downside at all? Blue is just allowed to have better giant strength now? What the hell?

Oh wow, isn't this a first?

This is a striking card. shocking. If the anti aura camp (that's all of us, right?) still refuses to play this, perhaps thinking about it as a sorcery speed Mighty Leep will help? I can see this ending a lot of limited games. Maybe a few casual multiplayer as well.

I like it. Auras are usually overlooked because the risk of losing two permanents to one removal spell is to great. To compensate for this auras need to ether have recursion like rancor or angelic destiny or be really strong. The fact that they made this a common gives me hope that auras may be viable again soon.

Crazy good in limited. You can put this on Delver of Secrets for a possible 5/4 flyer on turn 2. This is one of the best straight forward enchantments ever printed. Take note, and pick early!

Beats the hell out of Flight!

For two mana, giving a beefy beater evasion and a little extra boost looks pretty good.

@SeiberTross That's exactly what happened in one of my games last night. I felt kind of bad about the win though; I ended up just winning on turn 5 because my opponent didn't draw anything to deal with it.

INTO THE AFTERLIFE!!!!!!!!

@Tommy9898 : Giant Strength is not really a valid comparison, since auras in general have come a long way since 1999. Some better, more contemporary comparisons would be common auras like Goblin War Paint, Nimbus Wings, Divine Favor, and the totem armor umbras.

Works great for infect, I use it with the Blighted Agent. An unblockable 3/3 flier with infect on turn 3? Nice.

very decent card, put in on gladecover elf... 3/3 hexproof flying on turn 2...

In limited, this card does ravages when put on Geist of Saint Traft or Invisible Stalker... a turn 3 3/3 unblockable hexproof attacker is quite a threat, while a turn-four, evasive 4/4 hesxproof body hitting for an evasive 8 gives you the game, like 90%+ of the time...

Compare to the recently printed Nimbus Wings and Magefire Wings.
Considering that white is a color that likes auras, and multicolored casting costs are supposed to make spells stronger, this aura was really pushed.

I saw someone use this + Sanctuary Cat and proceeded to beat his opoonent down with the 3/4 monstrosity that is out of range of Smite the Monstrous and bigger and tougher than most fliers in block

He gave the kitty a Butcher's Cleaver to finish his opoonents

Many giggles and chuckles were heard that day, a housecat killing a player with the power of flight and a butcher's cleaver...

Actually, it's that distance that's the cause for complaint. Cards just get bigger, better, more effective, and cheaper - all at the same time.

See Kryptnyt:

You don't even need to go back 13 years to find clear, telling evidence of the game's general power boost. A few years suffices nicely.

Actually worth its weight unlike Flight =P

Suited in Foil you will need a minute to yourself with it....

The lesson here, lads and lasses, is never make assumptions. This was a two-of in a legacy champ's deck.

Has seen play in Standard and Legacy (mainly with hexproofers).

Take that, Aura haters!

Friend of mine used Spectral Flight on my Terra Stomper. I thought he was trolling or had given up for a minute. Then he used Plummet. Oh well, still card advantage.

No Rancor but this is actually constructed viable with all these hexproof creatures arround. To bad most auras are much worse.

On top of all the good things this card grants to the enchanted creature, did you know that this also gives two extra abilities?
The first is Reach.
The second is : This creature can't be blocked except by creatures with flying.

Make no mistake, people. This is viable in Standard, Modern, and Legacy.

I really love the artwork on this card. I pulled a foil Spectral Flight today and it looks great. Cheap splashable spell. Solid +2+2. Flying. Geist of Sant Traft is a great target. invisible Stalker. Even wall of Omens likes this card, it might even draw it for you :-)

Like gluing a Wind Drake to your creature, only cheaper!

This card really is a step in the right direction with aura design. If auras can lead to card disadvantage, then they should be made more powerful to make up for that. The fact that this card is better than most auras doesn't really point much to power creep, in my opinion, since this is how good the average aura should have been in the first place.
