While I know this won't see standard play, I'm SOOO happy to see this back. Amazing card in casual games.

Cast Rite of Replication on this Kicked while playing 2012 and ended up decking myself >_>...

...

Not a moment I am proud of.

@oafkad: Especially since the card says you may draw. Even though you could deck yourself with that combo, you didn't have to. Effective way to refill your hand though.

@BongRipper420

Why not both? :D

Anyway, in terms of green, this is hands-down my go to Green card. Even green weenies generally hit the 3 power mark, such as Garruk's Companion and REALLY, REALLY helps my Green/White Angel Deck.

5/5 anything less than 4 is a crime.

@bongripper

That may be more survivable (although a T4 creature is no easy kill by any means) it's less reliable cards draw and potentially less frequent, mono green ramp can easily grab enough lands to be dropping 2+ fatties a turn netting you more cards with which to feed the packleader.

This could be especially useful in a populate deck that centers around generating 3/3 centaurs like crazy via Call of the Conclave and what not.

With Thragtusk, he turns Cloudshift into White: Put a 3/3 Beast token onto the battlefield, gain 5 life, and draw 2 cards.

Yeah. He's good.

Triumph of Ferocity is preferable to this my opinion. Easier to keep it alive. Though of course this has a 4/4 body, so it can be worth it.

i kind of like this card. i normally play control but i need a casual deck that my freinds will play against. i want to try this with parallel lives and 3/3 beast and centaur tokens + populate.

Ok, check this: I have Garruk's Packleader in play. I play Druid's Familiar which gives +2/2 when soulbound and is a 2/2. Would I then be able to draw a card because The Familiar is a 4/4?

Feed the Pack with Intangible Virtue and this Sac a non-token creature = draw Cards equal to that Creatures Toughness and produce that many 3/3 wolf tokens. Sounds fun for wicked lategame draw in casual! Immerwolf or a flipped Mayor of Avabruck should also do the trick!

Combo's well with Essence of the Wild, especially if you have cards to mass produce tokens. Every time you play a creature of a token if you have this and Essene of the Wild on the field you draw a card. It will of course limited every other creature in your deck as they will all be Essence of the Wild, a small price to pay for that huge card advantage. Though if you are relying on that strategy you better have some good non creature spells in the deck to help you out, which you most certainly draw.

I expected this to be rated higher (@3.7). This is a great guy.

Flavor text is cheesy though. Take it down a notch Garruk. Ever heard of a library or a school? Humans have those, your beasts don't.

Humans: 1
Nature: 0

And why get all down on humans when there's, like, Goblins running around burning and biting shit anyway? Come off it, fool.

This card is stupid good with Primeval Bounty. Drop a mana dork, get a 3/3 beast, draw a card. Draw into something like the Kalonian Tusker, get a 3/3 beast, draw two cards. Adding multiples of Primeval Bounty or Packleader makes you draw your deck as fast as you'd like. Best of all - it's a "may" effect, so you won't actually make yourself draw out unless you aren't careful.

In my mana ramp deck (casual) I use Caged Sun, Doubling Cube, and Omnath, Locus of Mana, plus ramp cards like Nature's Lore, and mana dorks ranging from Llanowar Elves to Elvish Archdruid and more. I frequently have over 100 mana every turn, so I combine the aforementioned cards with a Garruk's Horde to play my entire deck in one turn. It's pretty awesome!
