This is my most favorite card ever. It's not the most powerful, but its flavor is amazing. It's a sword that blows up worlds, and doesn't even spare the poor sap that swung it.

can you imagine this on an indestructible creature.

Mother of God, it doesn't even leave any LAND behind...that's hardcore right there.

Also, thaviel, I'd like to imagine you won that game given they probably couldn't summon any resistant, since you blew up ALL THEIR LAND.

cplmontana, Darksteel Colossus is indestructible so won't be affected by this card or Wrath of God.

Pretty classy.

One question: since this is non-targeting, like Wrath of God, wouldn't Darksteel Colossus just be bounced back to your deck everytime?

Edit: Thanks, Zarcron! :)

This would be pretty good in a blue deck with some suspend and an unblockable or two.

Or just use this after you summon Twilight Shepherd and get all your own cards back into your hand, seeing as how she persists!

I attach mine to Child of Alara.
So if they can block 6, everything but lands die. If they can't, everything but this dies.
I'll give you a moment to consider whether or not to declare blockers.

It'd suck if you did the Darksteel Colossus combo against a white deck, who then put out a plains and Path it.

Of course, you could prevent it in a long winded way. Darksteel Forge, Lightning Greaves, Darksteel Colossus and Worldslayer (having Worldslayer equipped before Lightning Greaves of course). Actually, with the forge out any old artifact creature will do, but one with some form of evasion or trample would be ideal.

@cplmontana: It's Protection effects that cards like Wrath of God ignore. Indestructible creatures will still survive.

Imagine triggering Elspeth, Knight Errant's last ability, equipping this doomsday device on a +1 /+1 enchanced Birds of Paradise (or something else small and harmless with 1 attack) and then swinging it like a maniac. Let the good times roll :D

Imagine a fluffy rainbow coloured little bird wielding this and destroying everything on the table except your stuff, it's too insane for words :)

Man, Would be nice to see the process of forging this weapon, must be some powerful stuff ensorcelled in something that is able to destroy worlds over and over simply by striking flesh.

Run with myr deck, tinker, and Darksteel Forge.

Turn 1: Myr servitor (or any other turn 1 myr)
Turn 2: Myr servitor (or any turn 1 or 2 myr)
Turn 3: Tinker for Darksteel Forge
Turn 4: Tinker for World Slayer
Turn 5: Lodestone Myr
Turn 6: Equip and wreck
Rinse and repeat until victory.

Put it on a Darksteel Myr with arcbound creatures. Turn six, equip and start blowing everything up every turn. Arcbounds die and constantly power up the myr of death.

Or, for the most frustrating victory ever, make a deck with no way to pump up Darksteel Myr whatsoever. Get the combo online, and attack for zero to the face every single turn, blowing up whatever lands and creatures with summoning sickness that managed to be cast this turn. The secret to winning this way? Your deck has 61 cards in it.

@sleetfox: that doesn't work. It has to actually deal damage.

It would be hilarious if it did though.

also, DARKSTEEL EVERYTHING DECK.

@Sironos:

The correct procedure for crafting a Worldslayer is as follows: First, you need to travel deep into the uncharted realms of the Multiverse, and obtain the raw materials from the core of a star just as it goes Supernova. You must then use entropy to shape it in a forge constructed entirely out of the dreams of angry children. Having done that, you travel to a world rendered barren and nameless by the warring of its former occupants, so you may cool it in a lake filled with the tears of dead gods. Once you have done these things, the final step is to construct a hilt made of depleted Uranium, affix it to the blade using pins made of the same, and wrap the hilt in blood oaths to ensure its grip.

Then you can toss it to your Zodiac Monkey, and watch the fireworks.

I'd take Mycosynth Lattice , Darksteel Forge, and a creature with this beating face. I like Nevinyrral's Disk more for the destruction purpose, but this is fine too, and it hits walkers, which is just icing.

Now how can I manage to phase out my half of the field for a turn???
no sarcasm... mind you... I'm really interrested...
I already figure that I can get it out for free somehow...
and equip it for free too... (some Kors I suppose)... only a minor issue... but...
How do I manage to make this not handicap myself as well?
Cause in a multiplayer this would be beast to figure out

Block-constructed fun: Let it resolve, then cast Second Sunrise. You could even draft this :D

Imagine the following scenario (no Planeswalker cards involved):

Vorthos: I hit you for 2 with my Neurok Spy, triggering Worldslayer's ability and destroying everything on the battlefield except for the equipment itself!
Opponent: OH SHI-
Vorthos: AND now, i cast Second Sunrise, returning all of our cards back to the battlefield!
Opponent: What is this i don't even
Vorthos: A GOD AM I

I put this in my Jhoira EDH deck. Suspend some big bads (Eldrazi, Dragons, Leviathans, Whaterver) swing with this (wispersilk cloak comes in handy here) and dump your big bads into play while everone else is still trying to get their act together.

Of of course surviving for the required 4 turns after suspending Ulamog is the hard part...

Happy Birthday!
Its not, please tell me you had nothing to do with this
Why don't you blow out your candle?
You've gone to far this time Carl
What's that? Its hard to hear you over the sound of melted city
How did you even do this?
A dollop of fairy dust
Carl...
I ripped the tag off a mattress
This isn't funny carl
Who's laughing? Clearly not all the people who just exploded...

Running this in a proxy Kemba, Kha Regent EDH deck. It's maniacly crazy to hook up someone with this and Darksteel Plate or Helm of Kaldra. One direct hit and I blow up anything, with my armored up, Worldslaying creature still standing tall, ready to slay the world all over again, turn after turn, until lethal's been dealt.
