is awesome. Looks like a neat card for limited, and might have combo potential. Here's one that won't be happening in Standard: Horizon Chimera and Drogskol Reaver (you'll need to have a way of winning at instant speed to avoid the auto-lose, though).
I absolutely like this card. Great synergy with Brainstorm. Heheh.

I think they were playing "how many abilities can you give an uncommon" when they were making this.

Trygon_Predator But if you could give them both to your opponent, the initial look of confusion (esp. if you give him the reaver first) would be wonderful.

I'm definitely putting this in my Prime Speaker Zegana EDH deck. The majority of cards in my deck cause me to draw, and the lifegain is definitely something I'm missing from my deck. Perfect synergy.
a good card, but poorly designed. none of the abilities have any synergy. trample doesn't help as much since it already has flying. flash sucks when you never want to block with it. and what do any of those have to do with drawing cards?

@Arachbutyriphobia
It is a Chimera, so flavorfully it makes sense to have a bunch of disconnected abilities. Also, if you think trample doesn't belong on a flying creature, you've clearly never played against Lingering Souls.

This is awesome without the flash. But considering it's the two colors that likes to draw cards the most, it's gonna net you some life.

-3/2 flash frample, eats attackers alive -triggers evolve in evolve colours ( did I mention flash? ) -is a bird angel antelope -is uncommon! -weird janky combo ability ( archangel of thune, fathom mage, anyone? )
what's not to love?

pretty art. awesome type. sweet abilities (especially the previously mentioned combo). Solid stats for cost.
Overall, a very nice 4-drop. I at first questioned the point of Flash on it, but then I realized that it's part-Blue. You're ALWAYS going to have counter-mana open, and you can sneak this guy out when, at the end of an opponent's turn, you have unspent mana inevitably because they didn't play something worth countering.

I believe this combos rather well with Well of Lost Dreams. Flash him in at the end step then use your draw step to get incremental life gain and cards for as much u want to spend.

I like how this freaking amazing damn wonderful mutant flying gazelle-ibis creature thing made out dreams and rainbows that has every freaking ability known to (Limited) man on it :P .......
ISN'T a RARE XD
Honestly, after all those abilities, and the multicoloredness, and "Creature-- Chimera" I really feel this should be a Rare. It's not like, a 'powerful' Rare by any means, but Vorthos Seriously Freaking Doesn't Get why this is uncommon!!!!!!! XD

Punches a hole in standard with fathom mage and zameck guildmage. Seriously. Just watch it hit like a ton of bricks. Also, bant with archangel of Thune and fathom mage. I'm laughing at how that's in standard.

Seems like one of the best uncommon creatures in the set. With so little removal, UG appears to be a good combo. Can flash in and eat a little guy, with three power and lifegain it races awesome and the trample and flying make the perfect bearer of boosting enchantments. My only gripe is the reminder text for Flash in an expert level set. Flavor text would have really helped to explain why the cross of an antelope and a dove has so many crazy abilities and isn't white.
@Trygon_Predator: How about the worst combo in modern; Horizon Chimera, Drogskol Reaver and Jace's Erasure. What could possiblay go wrong?

Already three pages of comments and yet no mention of Griselbrand?! At least someone already mentioned Yawgmoth's Bargain, but we're talking about very strong Modern material right here, folks.
4cmc for a 3 power flying trampling flasher? This Chimera is a solid card already without any support. Add any type of multiple draw effect (Brainstorm, Phyrexian Arena, etc) and you're immediately ahead in the CA race and life total race too. But flipping Griselbrand has a new pony he can ride and its controller just wins the game out of all that value being pooped out.

That's the most beautiful chimera I have seen even outside MTG art.
If a Simic could use the life force of this, they just might claim that prize.

@PurpleRooster or double the lifegain from a Sphinx's Revelation in WUg decks! Or turn Invoke the Firemind into a Revelation in Izzet with a splash of green decks... Combos with Prime Speaker Zegana to draw 4 and gain 4 life if that is the lowest power creature you have otherwise more!
It's a shame. If they'd gone a little less antelope and a little more mountain-goat with the horns, like some of the other chimeras - it would've been an ibis ibex.
Regardless, gorgeous card. Can't wait to open one. The Orzhov uncommon for Theros was pretty damn disappointing, but this Simic one is just what I hoped for.

And this, children, is why I play Simic. 4 mana on flash isn't outrageous, and it gives a surprise flying 3/2 blocker, which is nothing to sneeze at in the first place. Lifegain with draws is really un-simic of this card, but with all the card advantage that Blue gives, and all the recklessness that Green gives, lifegain is more than welcome. In a blue-based deck with draw cards in this set, this could gain you 3-4 life a turn, more if you have a bomb.
Great card, with great combo potential. I'm thinking Greed.

One of the best uncommons in Limited. A 3/2 flier with Flash, flying, AND trample is a wonderful thing. Gaining life every time you draw a card on top of that is just madness.
Combos with Fathom Mage and Archangel of Thune to draw as much as you want, gain tons of life, and have huge creatures.

Yeah, it seems Wizards occasionally likes to see how much they can cram on a card without breaking it, and the results are often delightful. Previous outings on this journey include Lotleth Troll and Stonecloaker.
Has nobody noticed we can finally use Tin-Wing Chimera and its buddies on other chimeras, namely these four new ones? Imagine giving this thing Vigilance and another +2+2 on top of everything else. And all you have to do is bust out an artifact creature with a weird name and sac it. It's like a boost spell that's hard to counter and can't be reversed, what more do you want?

my simic card draw deck pulled off a neat combo with this guy, Progenitor Mimic and Fathom Mage. I used Give and Take on the mage with 10 cloned chimeras out, drew 8 cards and gained 80 life. This was a game where I had been at 1 life once or twice. Life gain is exactly what simic needed.

Why not Words of Wilding or Words of Wind or Words of Worship ? Except Words of Worship would only set it off again, but Words of Wind would reset your Horizon Chimera. I think the best bet is Words of WIlding so you can just get a bear.

Oh how far we've come from Assault Zeppelid. Not only does it have a respectable body, but it has with several relevant abilities equally suited for Constructed and Limited play:
- Evasion in the form of Trample and Flying. - Flash for surprise blocking/surprise attacks the next turn after the opponent's combat phase. - A final ability begging you to combo with it - and at worst, gradual and constant lifegain which can help you eke out a win in close games where you're racing.
All in all, this is a sick card, especially at uncommon. I'd be happy to open a few of these and run them alongside in-color stuff like Lorescale Coatl, Cold-Eyed Selkie and Elvish Visionary in a budget deck and just benefit off of drawing cards. Throw in some cheap protection like Shielding Plax, and Nulltread Gargantuan (whose drawback can be worked around or even start some recursion tricks) and you've got a potentially nasty deck!
