Aside from the original casting cost...Strictly better Electropotence

Probably better than Where Ancients Tread, since it works with small creatures, too, and gives a bigger effect with bigger creatures. The higher cost probably isn't too big of a deal, if you're playing a deck that can support big enough creatures to make it worthwhile.

Too bad this doesn't enable bloodthirst. That would have been fancy.

Man, I really, really am starting to get sick of every single card now needlessly saying You or Your Opponents. I miss the good old days, when cards like Pandemonium actually brought to the table elements of risk, balance, thought, skill, and fun. Not each and every rare providing yet another one-sided slaughter-fest begging to be broken before someone drops a removal spell.
Oh yeah, back to commenting the card. Not sure if it will be very useful late game - unless you`ve got some kind of combo going on the most you will get is, what, 6 damage per turn? Don`t know if it`s worth it around turn six. Would be fun with the aforementioned Mitotic Slime - does 12 damage when all oozes die.
In EDH, where the game is a bit slower, this could be a great card, though.
Regarding flavor text, what exactly is the Immersturm?

Immersturm is on a plane called Valla that hasn't yet been the focus of a set.

Gotta love Immersturm, the plane of Raymond Swanland, most brutal of the magic artists.

@OmegaSerris Do you even realize how many cards have been made for this format over the years even before these sets' release?
All that aside, it's an interesting alternative Pandemonium. Could be fun but maaaan that casting cost.
I'm confused as to how this functions with a living weapon. Will the germ get the added P/T before this hits the stack, since the equipment gets attached before checking state-based effects, or will it be added on the stack when it's still a 0/0? I feel like it would, since I anticipate cards that come in with +1/+1 counters would get to do their full damage.
could you act of aggression opponents creatures before warstorm resolves?

With all of the enemy colored lands in Innistrad, how fun would it be to bounce titans with Venser, The Sojourner?

Genesis Wave for six is probably lethal if you're running a playset of these. Generating nine mana in a creature-heavy RG deck is an exercise left to the reader - but not an overly complicated one. (Hint: start with Solemn Simulacrum)
@MaddAddams When you cast an Equipment with Living weapon, the 0/0 Germ adds Warstorm Surge's ability to the stack, but Living weapon has to finish resolving first; i.e., attach the Equipment to the Germ, raising its power (unless you cast Mortarpod or something). Then Warstorm Surge's effect resolves, causing the Germ to deal damage equal to whatever power it has at this time.
Quick example: cast a Batterskull. 0/0 Germ created, equip +4/+4, then deal 4 damage (with lifelink!).

Fun with tokens and guys with disproportionately large values of Devour.
Also, Dragon Broodmother thinks this is a good environment in which to raise her children.
@MaddAddams This is how it will work. 1. Living Weapon is triggered by the eqiupment (say, Lashwrithe) entering the battlefield. 2. This ability puts a 0/0 token into play, then attaches the equipment to it as part of the same action. As such, Warstorm Surge's ability won't trigger until the token is already done entering the battlefield. With 4 swamps in play, the Lashwrithe gives +4/+4 to the Germ. 3. Warstorm Surge's ability triggers, and is added to the stack. At this time, the Germ token already gets the buff from the Lashwrithe, so it deals 4 damage.

Question: I'm playing commander with this card in play, and I drop Serra Ascendant. I have over 30 life. Does it deal 1 damage or 6 as it comes into play?

I think it deals 6. Because the surge deals damage when the creature enters the battlefield, and the Ascendant has the P/T change on the battlefield, it would deal the damage because it is already on the battlefield and is already buffed.

Combos with Entreat the Angels. Combos with a lot of other things too, but that's the most epic one.

I believe this should work, as it states that it 'get's' the -X/-X, meaning it still enters as it's original P/T. Death's Shadow. Should be 13 damage for . Seems like a good deal to me!
Flametongue Kavu becomes Double Flametongue Kavu? The biggest thing about this card is that every creature in your deck becomes an out to your opponent's creatures, which is super powerful. And if you have enough to just kill them, you can do that too. Very good in token decks btw.
@Kezia It deals 6 damage, and you also gain 6 life because of lifelink.

I like this card in combination with Ball Lightning (and/or the myriad of variants) and Grave Pact. You play your creature, deal damage through Warstorm Surge, attack, then when it dies, Grave Pact forces your opponents to sac. Which then paves the way for the rest of Ball Lightning's friends to clean up whatever's left!

Phyrexian Hydra would like a word with you...
Pretty cool effect, awesome Raymond Swanland Artwork (will go straight into my Raymond Swanland artwork deck with Goblin Deathraiders, Viashino Slaughtermaster and Fomori Nomad, Flame Slash and maybe Mitotic Slime) Just noticed that most of RS`s creatures are warriors. Throw in 4 Reassembling Skeletons and 4 Obsidian Battle-axe and you`ve got a deck.

More fun if you add Conjurer's Closet
I want to work this into a Grixis EDH deck where I use Master Transmuter to repeatedly bounce Blightsteel Colossus.
