This card works very well with Cloak and Dagger. Suspend the il-kor on turn two, play the cloak turn three, turn four the il-kor comes into play and becomes a 5/1 shrouded shadow creature, and then on turn five the opponent cries.

Actually, the opponent cries on the 4th turn. A suspended creature has Haste when it comes into play.

Very efficient creature. I don't understand why is it rated too low... Obviously it has to be suspended; and a 3/1 hasty almost unblockable creature on turn four, for free (you paid for it on turn two), which can be protected with your spells... And this + Cloak and Dagger is absurd. 4/5

I like suspending this card turn two, then turn 4 slapping an ophidian eye on it and swinging for three.

it's a rouge good creature type some cards gives you an effect when a rouge deals combat damage to a player
I really didn't expect this guy to get all the tribal support he has, but sure enough, both rogues and kor has gotten a decent set-up. You could probably use him in a decent tribal. An almost unblockable 3/1 is pretty nice. Blue doesn't get much good aggro.

It's an il-kor with the italics.

The il in Time Spiral block are not actually evil. They used to be traitors and allied with Volrath but Volrath is long since dead. The flavor text on Drifter il-Dal shows that these il are not the same generation as the ones who originally allied to the Evincar and the flavor text on Trespasser il-Vec explains how they became trapped in shadow. You can see a desire for physicality in both the Drifter and Augur il-Vec.

The reason it's rated low is that top decking this card, a 5 mana 3/1 evasive creature isn't great, and you generally don't want to have to wait 2 turns to attack with your freshly drawn card. However, outlaying 2 mana on turn 2 to get a 3/1 haste on turn 4 is a pretty good deal.
I've never seen the card before myself, but I love suspend in general, so would love to play around with this guy at some point.

Actually, I think the reason it's rated low is true-name nemesis and invisible stalker. Blue has gotten some insane creatures lately, which in comparison make this look like limited fodder.
