I know I must be a jerk and unoriginal, but when I first saw this card I automatically thought of the infinite mana myr combo on turn 3.

Perhaps the single most ridiculous spell in EDH, period.
My group is seriously considering banning this card because it's seriously just too good. Uncountered, it's nearly impossible to come back from such a beating, provided you even survive it to get to that point. And in any deck running the combo of Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Cabal Coffers, Vesuva and enablers like Extraplanar Lens and Gauntlet of Power, it's pretty difficult not to just win the game when you cast this.
Oh, Wizards. I make a deck that can kill all of my opponents using one casting of fireball, and then you give me comet storm. And now this, too? You say I can kill everyone for 22 mana that I can generate on turn 3, or, if somehow I can't kill them, I can still gain enough life to last another turn to finish them off? Well, if that isn't just the bees' knees.
Seriously, though, this card is great. Now I want to see a card that makes each opponent mill X cards. I could run that in my casual deck and it might be more fair.

cool card. awkward art.
What was wrong with how the original Mirrodin vampires looked? They were awesome looking.
These guys look like clones of Edward scissor-hands.
Drain Life for Multiplayer without all the extra mana expense (just one extra B) that one might expect off the Fireball template. Serious power for the cost in multiplayer
I wish I had a playset of these, but I didn't get a single one out of the boosters I bought on release day :/
If I had, I'd build the deck above >.<

Built a multiplayer deck with this as my main weapon. In a huge group, this thing is pure evil. You'll become the number 1 target afterwards, but usually by the time that happens it's too late.

this is almost always a one hit kill-everyone with channel when you're in multiplayer.. channel for all your life -1 and wow I just got all my life back + more and you're all.. dead (of course, only if it isn't countered because then you'll be rather f'd)

Very decent Limited card for Black, not to mention the numerous uses in multiplayer and EDH. I don't really see this card making it to serious Standard formats

How exactly do you plan to channel your life down to below zero? Just click the link and read the ONE ruling that card has. Furthermore, even if Channel allowed you to do that, you would lose the game as a state based action for having less than zero life before Exsanguinate even had the chance to resolve. Without the help of something like Platinum Angel, Exsanguinate would cease to exist on the stack when you lose, and you would probably walk away embarrassed that you just committed suicide.

It seems everyone except for the Channelers is ignoring the clause that Drain Life and Consume Spirit have that this lacks. You can ramp into it without Cabal Coffers, which opens up B/G mana ramping as a deck possibility.
I don't think we need to get into multiplayer absurdity here.

It seems to me that this is just a bad Drain Life in 2 player. Although you need less black mana, it cant kill creatures which really stinks. In multiplayer though it can do some serious damage
This card is exceptional to say the least. The possibilities that are presented with other cards out there like Sanguine Bond are just brutal. But I still think that Bond of Agony is the better card; especially when combined with Tainted Sigil.

Great for archenemy games. Use this + Pulse Tracker + Blistergrub... am I forgetting any other all opponent-hitting black cards...?

Run with Cloudpost & Glimmerpost & Expedition Map for rather extreme multiplayer & casual hate. Good old table flippers...
Edit:
This card is absurd, doesn't have to be in a pure black deck so run as a win with {U}/{B} control, each opponent...Possibly best black burn ever?

I just bought new cards for the first time since Odyssey block. I pulled this. I am so prepared to make people hate me. This should have been rare.
Just saying one word to all kitchen tables from this "Thing":

Considering that Bond of Agony was already a fantastic card in multiplayer, this card is somewhere in the realm of mindblowing.

This thing is bonkers in multiplayer, especially if you have a Bubbling Muck on hand.

My friends totally hate me now. I had a ton of cat tokens out from White Sun's Zenith and Ashnod's Altar. Needless to say, all four of them lost instantly.
A couple of hours later, it happened again! It's like no one was paying attention, then bam! Insta-dead! Great uncommon!

I understand the need for the card to be good in multiplayer---but this seems a bit pushed. Not 'broken' per say, but not exactly what should be printed as the 'every day multiplayer effect'. This is to multiplayer drain life effects as Lightning Bolt is to direct damage in duels.
Instead, a card they could make every other Block would just gain you X life, not all the damage you dealt. There is STILL Sanguine Bond if you think just gaining X once is not good enough.

Black's default win condition in EDH.
It's a really good card in group games, to the point that I actually removed it from a few of my decks (Along with Cabal Coffers) because it made games too repetitive.

Great finisher in multiplayer, especially if you plan on losing your friends... Combos with infinite mana should be obvious.

I put this in my g/b EDH and it works wonders with enough ramp. Genesis wave for 30, then proceed to exsanguinate for like 30 then reclaim and do it again next turn for even more. Love this card.

Pulled this out in an EDH today after I had already popped Lili 3.0's ultimate, and as if Caged Sun couldn't make me love black X more, she came along, now my Geth commander, this, Consume Spirit, Killing Wave, so many sexy possibilities.

I was playing against a Maga, Traitor to Mortals EDH deck yesterday, and the guy had extraplanar lens AND caged sun...let's just say there weren't very many people left standing after this was cast...

As has been mentioned numerous times, pretty decent multiplayer finisher. I have a WB creatureless deck that ramps (via a solid Cabal Coffers engine) into either a high X Entreat the Angels, or a lethal Consume Spirit. For single player I prefer Consume for being able to double as removal if I'm not in the winzone yet, but for MP there's no doubt that Exsanguinate is a better option.
