Nothing more fun than blocking some 12/12 behemoth someone drops with your 0/1 moth.

I love this card. Sure it won't win the game and it's not flashy but it's very good at what it does. Find a way to keep it alive when blocking (Pentarch Ward, Magebane Armor - you lose flying though) and you have a life gain machine.

I find hilarious the lengths the DotP AI goes to protect this card. Even on highest difficulty, Elspeth will drop a Holy Day to protect the moth from dying to a 1/1 attacking alone. Here's hoping the group of new players who learned to play with DotP aren't influenced by this... (note that i never said this was a bad card. my point is that the ai overvalues it and the result is funny.)

Woah this card sucks... It's like a fog which is already not so great. Except it can only be played at sorcery speed. And dies to everything. And works only on one creature. And only if that creature doesn't trample or is unblockable or has fear or intimidate or whatever... And it depends to 100% on your opponents deck. If your opponent has nothing you can block, this card does absolutely nothing on it's own.

I'm confused as to why the flavour text mentions Benalia when this was introduced in Shadowmoor.

I loved this card in lorwyn block. Lots of flavor here!
...that doesn't mean it's a good card or anything lol. I just like the flavor.

I find this card incredibly hilarious. 5/5 for being extremely playable with Righteousness. Haha!!!

This card is pretty decent. At face value it seems pretty weak and there seems to be a lot better. But this has more going for it than at first glance. There are some pretty creative combos you could dish out if you get clever enough. I found this out when I chump blocked with two of these and cast Holy Day. (I was also being attacked by other creatures)
Decent card. Has potential. 3/5

Just a few minor modifications: "For every creature blocked by Goldenglow Moth, target player gains 3 life."
In other words, it should say "target player" and should support blocking more than one creature.
And finally: Please, make a new art without the unsightly tree in the background. It should rather look like s firefly that is even beautiful at a closer look.

I love this card. Beautiful art and simply... a nice one drop. 4/5
My opponent taps 12 lands, the treespeaker, and the spawn. Uh oh. Yes, it's emrakul, the aeons torn! My favourite....they get another turn, and don't attack on this turn. Next turn, they tap two forests for nest invader and another forest for might of the masses. Emrakul is now a 20/20, and can't be blocked. I take 20 damage, now at 12 life. I also sac 6 permanents.
My turn (finally). Draw a land, useless, play it and attack with serra for 5 damage.
Opponent's turn again, plays hand of emrakul, then playslightning greaves and equips the greaves to hand of emrakul. Starts laughing, thinks they won and made a great comeback. Attacks with the two emrakuls. I BLOCK HAND OF EMRAKUL WITH MY MOTH AND GAIN 4 LIFE. I am now at 16 life, and emrakul leaves me at 1. My turn, swing with serra angel for the win.
Do not underestimate insects.

@divine_exodus: you should have gotten a better win. ur opponent can't cast might of the masses on emrakul emrakul has protection from colored spells. so yea.
It's creatures like this that makes me feel so inappropriate for Kozilek not to have reach... How does Kozilek not block things like this?!

Pretty bad, its like just straight lifegain, unless you intend to use it as an attacker (you may prefer Squadron Hawks for that). It has the potential to 'heal' you for 4 and a block, meaning it will perhaps block Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and 'gain' you 21 life, a somewhat ok deal for 1 mana, or perhaps B.F.M. (Big Furry Monster) which would be 103 life (I guess it requires 3 blockers, so maybe 33+4 life). 37 life for 1 mana is a good deal, but also not likely.
Probably my favorite card in Magic: The Gathering. It's cheap, useful and forces your opponent to make early decisions. Swing and give you four life? Waste a lightning bolt on it? Also great when carrying a Sunforger.

Similar to Pride Guardian. It's better in that it has flying and it gains you one more life, but Pride Guardian is better in that it has some chance of blocking more than once and also has a vaguely relevant creature type.

I remember when I first started playing I used two Giant Growths with this guy to kill a Yavimaya Wurm, and still get my 4 life. Good times.

Built an aura deck around this little guy. Exciting is hitting your opponent with a 48/48 vigilant, indestructible, hexproof, trample and lifelink Moth that's been there since turn 1.

This + Kitchen Finks + Spore Frog makes for an insane stalling backbone for control decks. Wall of Denial is good in of course, but is more expensive. This is bad when trying to keep your mana open for counterspells.

Pretty creature. Useful creature. If you are using a deck that benefits from defensive 1-drops. You can't really go wrong with this critter. Woe to the opponent whose raging goblin gives you four life.
You can also hang onto it until you have a means to make it utterly unkilleable. White does that sometimes.

You now have a Deathenglow Moth
I'm using my W/U control deck, my opponent has an Eldrazi mana vamp deck. It's currently turn 8. I have 32 life, opponent has 6.
Opponent's turn, he has a nirkana cutthroat (fully leveled), a joraga treespeaker (also fully leveled) and an eldrazi spawn. I have serra angel (can't afford the baneslayer) a goldenglow moth, and a gomazoa. I also have honor of the pure out.
