Guest57443454 is right, I'm glad this was printed, it's a worthy addition to any deck built around the mentioned tribals, without wasting a slot to an enchantment for only one creature.
Secondly its a land colourless is'nt a bad thing, its actually better since it can be used in any deck, and your opponent will be hard pressed removing it.
It's got good flavour, a nice feel and a worthwhile use and finallymy Form of the Squirrel's 1/1 does'nt look so bad.

Why, hello there Deadly Recluse. How would you like to keep your opponents creatures at bay?

"Damn, and wolves are only getting better and better as the expansions come out. Why no regen?"
Wolves hardly swarm. It would break the flavor of the card. Same with birds and rabbits, but I agree about saprolings, worms, lizards, snakes. However, consider this unwieldy card text:
"T: Regenerate target Insect, Lizard, Rat, Saproling, Snake, Spider, Squirrel, or Worm."
This card has a great flavor, but only for casual players, really.

You could actually make a viable deck out of this and: A) cheap insect utility cards ( Believe Goldenglow Moth and Deadly Recluse were already mentioned). B) The good 'ol rat deck C)uhh, squirrels? Might be a little too expendable to bother regenerating. D) Changelings - some of those guys are pretty useful, give them free regeneration and you could have a real threat there. E) Some or all of the above.

@TPmanW; You need to take a closer look at your squirrels. Krosan Beast and Squirrel Mob can be devastating in a decent squirrel deck if they keep getting regenerated.
Also, I'm just sayin', but spiders don't tend to swarm. And if they did, I'm sure the result would be terrifying. Birds would probably make more sense, and if someone can regenerate an Ant Queen, then screw you, a Windbrisk Raptor is fair game.

This card fits in so well with Odyssey block's theme of bloodthirsty evil Krosan squirrels.

Wow. Squirrels and gore galore. And you guys thought that Squirrels were a dead Tribe.
rats have generally low casting cost, this can easily take up the slot of 4 of what would otherwise be swamps, you'll hardly notice they are there, except that your rats will suddenly be much more tenacious.
Quest for Ula's Temple, Death Baron, Lovis Coldeyes, and this card -- all a smart approach to spreading the love to some more obscure tribes. Having an interaction with only one subtype would make a card that had too little support to work with. Plus, it just feels better that a collection of carrion and filth can serve multiple types of creatures, or that someone who rallies barbarians can also incite berserkers, and so on (btw, why there was ever a real distinction between those two tribes in the first place is beyond me).

5/5 for flavor. No can of Raid will save you now.

One of the best tools out there for protecting that vulnerable removal-magnet powerhouse, Scute Mob.
I'm surprised I don't see any references to changlings among the top comments.

Return to Ravnica brought us back into the ranks of the Golgari Swarm which are using more Insects as part of their guild's strategy (from Drudge Beetle, to Deadbridge Goliath, to Zanikev Locust). I find it interesting that Golgari's new mechanic is 'scavenge' and Swarmyard's flavor text mentions 'scavengers'. Along with Scute Mob, there's the makings of a mono-ish green Insect Tribal deck (and it probably wouldn't be half bad either).

Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.

Incredibly irritating land with no drawbacks -- produces mana, comes into play untapped, no cost to regenerate the creature, isn't legendary.

What is a squirrel doing in swarmyard next to insect, rat and spider? O_o

I do not understand why it regenerates spiders, seeing as no spider is a scavenger. Do they hunt the scavengers that infest the Swarmyard? And, if that is the case, why doesn't it also regenerate scorpions? And, even more puzzling, why do we have "Spiders" and "Scorpions", but insects are simply classed as "Insects"? Shouldn't the arachnids be similarly classed as "Arachnids"?
@whoiam: Because they're dirty scavengers, just like their rat cousins. Again, I find it weirder that there's spiders there, as (almost) all spiders live a strictly predatory lifestyle.

My friend built a naya spider tribal edh deck(which isn't very good by the way) but this makes it really annoying.

This is one of those lands that I've been meaning to get my hands on a set of. Would run so well into my rat deck. This and Undying Evil make some great utility. Let your Marrow-Gnawer die, use the Undying Evil to bring it back with a counter, making it harder to kill, then keep using the swarmyards to keep him alive. Repeat for any other rat you'd like, like Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni, etc.

Insect: What needs said? You'll find them everywhere, especially these places (maggots anyone?) Rat: See Insect (and eating maggots) Spider: Eats Insects. 'Nuff said. Squirrel: Squirrels ARE NOT all just the cute things you see in Disney. Yes, they certainly are cute... but they're wild animals like any other. And scavengers. And can get scary...
But... Rat Ninjas. O_O This card is so cruel to face when coupled with Ninjutsu. (Ha! I blocked your creature, no Ninjutsu and it dies... or not. dang.)

I love it with Xira Arien, now that she's an insect. I can picture hordes of filthy, infectious, gore-spattered rats and insects and spiders swarming the place... then Xira shows up in her ballroom gown. Eating carrion with a fork and knife, dabbing blood with a handkerchief... too funny.

People on Gatherer don't understand. Squirrels are with Spider, Rats and Insects because they're generally ran in the same deck. For example my Relentless Rat deck runs a bunch of Squirrels Thanks Wizards -Swag_Crow
