Not bad on its own since it is useful at all stages of the game, but it combos with genesis to shut down your opponents attack for good.

Simple and clean, usable is almost any situation, an amazing card for an eclectic deck.

The original little buddy. I run this in a Turbo-Fog/Recursion deck with Emeria, The Sky Ruin. What was the word you people use around here? Oh, that's right. U-B-E-R.

Why doesn't anyone call that turbofog variant "Turbo-Frog?"

I can't begin to count the times where this little guy completely disrupted my aggro plans. Get rid of it on your opponent's turn for best effect and get rid of it fast.

Simply amazing card, simple yet powerful.
Those good old days with amazing commons.

Love it! My only reservation is that they should definitely have called it Fog Frog.

Combos really well with Soul Foundry. Even more if you can get the Foundry untapped between turns, letting you put out Spore Frogs even faster.

anyone rating this less than 5/5 is a moron. Why run Fog?

I run it with Butcher of Malakir in my graveyard-control deck. This was in my very first green deck and I still use it to this day.

D'aww. It's such a cute, fuzzy frog.

I remember this card from way back in the day when I was a little kid and didn't really play Magic, but my older friend did, and let me look through his binders and binders of cards. This card for some reason resonated with me. I didn't really understand the activated ability or the power of the card or anything like that, but I saw the art and read the flavor text, and they had at least a small effect on me, for the better.

And, as an aside, it's exceptionally effective mechanics-wise, too. Fog on demand works for me.

@gromgrom777: Because Fog is a bigger surprise. If you have out Sproggy here, they'll know that if you're at low health, they still don't wanna all out-they need to leave some blockers because they know that you'll Sprog. Fog and Haze Frog are much more of a surprise, because until you see it, I wouldn't expect as much combat shenanigans in green. However, I will admit, Haze Frog is a bit expensive, though it can take out a 2/2 when it comes into play, such as the dreaded Bog Hoodlums after they win the clash

The art on this is really cool. It actually reminds me of a number of rainforest species who mimic the appearance of leaves.

Still, the mental image of this guy exploding into a bloody mist of spores and gristle when you sacrifice it is a little intense.

@Mephastopheles: Ha! my playgroup calls him Fog Frog as well.
My only problem with this guy is that they should make him a fungus frog.

I love him. It's just impossible to rate this below five, especially since it's playable and flexible and can save your life.

OMG! Right now I'm working on my own home-brew "turbo frog" for pauper!!

Great minds think alike, huh?

Fantastic common that can fit into many different green decks. I'd say it is loads better then Haze Frog. The only real downside to this is that the opponent will see the fog effect coming. They might spend removal to get rid of it, but again, spending removal on a one drop seems like a waste.

Who knows, this might even save you during late game, giving you the turn you need to win. Stranger things have happened in magic.

Living Fog. Can be very useful.

The shenanigans possible with this guy are completely hilarious. Lifeline or Genesis just to name a few. This card gets a 4.5/5 from me, just because of the multitude of ways one can frustrate an opponent with this little one drop.

Also, while it's not strictly better than Fog, it is much better most of the time, sans your hilarious Isochron Scepter combos.

Silly card, frogs do not reproduce through spores.

To the best of my knowledge.

Like boneclub said, Karador, Ghost Chieftain EDH loves Spore Frog. Ideally you'll be able to bring scarier things out of your graveyard, but having this available has saved me lots of times. Cute little thing, too.

If you play EDH/Commander, this is an excellent addition to any deck with a reanimation strategy. Adun Oakenshield, Karador, Teneb etc...

It's nice to be able to save your fog for later.

4/5

Another block in the frog tribal deck (seriously wizards, please, more frogs)
