Pumpable 6/6 for 6 that happens to throw out an Arc Lightning when he hits the field or attacks? Not a bad Titan for red at all, I can see a lot of damage being dealt with this guy.
@lorendorky I was wondering this exact thing. Can this 3 damage be divided to hit one target 3 times for 1 each? If I can divide it so I do 1 damage to the same player 3 times, then Chandra's Spitfire would definitely get a +9/+0 buff. Can we get Wizards to confirm or deny this combo?

@jodry
it deals 3 damage divided as you choose among one... target creatures and/or players.
with current oracle, yes you can split it for three counts of one damage the one target
Anyway, great titan, probably 4th best though as it's outclassed by the white/green/black ones. Was happy to play with this at a prerelease sealed...won every game he showed up in as long as my opponent was missing his removal. Even better when I attached Whispersilk Cloak to him.

@Dark_Armitage: I'm afraid his ability doesn't work that way. Essentially, it means "Whenever Inferno Titan attacks, you may choose one: Inferno Titan deals three damage to target creature or player; or Inferno Titan deals one damage to target creature or player and two damage to another target creature or player; or Inferno Titan deals one damage to three target creatures and/or players"
The reason it doesn't say "Divided as you choose among any number of creatures and/or players" is to prevent players from simply targeting everything to unsummon everything with Cowardice or the likes.
Also, as a rule of thumb, you can never divide damage from a spell or ability in a way that it hits the same target several times.

I can't possibly fathom how Inferno Titan can have a rating <4.0, let alone how people can even suggest it's the worst or the 2nd worst of the cycle. I mean, lol?
At the very least he kills your utility dudes or some midrange beater and then eats removal, if he sticks, IT brings in the business by bashing your face in so hard even Mother of Runes couldn't recognize it afterwards. To me the abilities of other titans mostly feel like parlor tricks when compared to the raw killing power of IT (Though you do need to be heavy to mono red in order to really capitalize on the Inferno Titan).
If we start taking into account support cards, consider stuff like Basilisk Collar to enter DIY eldrazi 2.0 (now with life swings upwards of 20) or Sword of Vengeance to get a beater out of this world (sword is nice because it works rather well on Cyclops Gladiator too. Perhaps some quality time with Chandra Nalaar is more to your liking? The prospect of nuking every opposing creature and doing combined damage of 21-30 to the dome with 2 cards and 6 mana on the board in timespan of 3 turns doesn't seem too shabby to me.

I don't get how you guys see this guy as being one of the worst of the titan cycle. It's a game ender by itself. The green one isn't. It just stacks up mana and thins out your deck to finish the game with something else. Same with the white titan, although the vigilance is nice. This one pretty much kills everything! Kill a bunch of wimpy creatures, one larger creature, or make it so they really don't want to block your Raging Goblin with their Woolly Thoctar!

Super triskelion is actually very awesome. Leyline of anticipation and this guy, especially with things that give haste is brutal. It's sort of super bogardan hellkite but cheaper. It will be underrated until it sees a lot of play and everyone will be like jeebus, that titan just sweeped my board.
Also.. basilisk collar and virulent swipe.. seriously.

comes in deals 3 next turn bolt to remove enemy creatures swing with the 3 damadge deal six and firebreath 6 times.
Total damadge 18 as suming you bolt to clear a creature. All the titans are epic bombs.
This one has a built in lighting bolt + forked bolt

so.. arc lightning was good at 3 mana, and this is a 6/6 for 6 with an arc lightning attached, so you basically get a 6/6 firebreathing for 3.
o, n he get's another arc lightning every turn.
wait, people are saying this guy is bad? wtf
I do wish he had haste instead of firebreathing, that would be a little broken but the others are too so it shouldn't be to bad

I consider this guy as the middle of the pack as far as the titans go. Grave Titan and Primeval Titan are definately the two strongest, but this guy is better than Frostie or Sunny in a vacuum. Although he'll probably see the least constructed play, I'd only really want to have Grave Titan over this guy in limited (or Baneslayer, baneslayer is always nice)
This card generaly is good, but comparing it to other Titan, this is the worst of them.
Come to think of it. This guy is completely unanplayable at tier 1 decks and we propably won't see it play at pro tour.
First of all it costs and is RED! Where could this ever play? RDW? No! Since even 4 mana there considered expensive, Boros? Let me laugh... Valakut decks? It's slot has been already consumed by Primeval Titan so bye bye red one!
On the top of that, this guy won't be able to do anything on the table since it got absolutely no defences.
Let's compare it to the Frost Titan whitch I think is the second worst but at least, HE is gonna be seen at pro tour since it got a place in a tier 1 awesome deck.
Anyway, even if you tryed to Terminate, Path to Exile, even Doom Blade or generaly using a single removal spell on it, it will counter it unless you can spare an additional .
With Sun Titan even if it doesn't stay on the field even for a second, you can at least grab a Woolly Thoctar and have it take it's place...
Same with Grave Titan. Even if he doesn't live, you would at least got a pair of 2/2 tokens.
I'm not even mentioning Primeval Titan who's price is $50++ and propably rise up even more later... This guy is nut's! Even 2 Rampant Growths can get you two Basic Lands. This guy can get you 2 lands, even nonbasic ones! And considering that 2 Rampants costs each bringing both spells to total cost of . If we could put a "price" to this ability, that ability should cost if not at least . That means that you had just paid for a 6/6 Trampling creature and for the ability, cause even if it doesn't live to see the next phase (Or even step.) You could at least have a nice pair of nonbasic lands on board. Pretty Awesome huh?
Generaly, the red one ether needed to cost less, or he should have some inshane abilities that would make even RDW to have it...
Too bad is the only one I got.... Aparently I got a Baneslayer Angel so that made up for it...

@Swordskill; this may see play in Blue-Red control, alongside things like Pyroclasm or Volcanic fallout, Swerve, Twincast, Reverberate, Pyromancer Ascension, Redirect, some bolts, and counters of choice, probably Mana Leak. Anyway, he wins the game pretty quickly if given haste. Don't complain about what amounts to a better Shivan Dragon, anyway, since flying is irrelevant if he's raping all chumpers.

Every time I play him, I like him a little more. I use him in my red/green Destructive Force deck along with Primeval Titan, and I have to say, I almost always like seeing him more than I like seeing his significantly more hyped greed brother. I struggle to recall a game which I have lost in which he resolved. He packs much more power than Primeval Titan thanks (obviously) to his triggered ability but notably also from his often overlooked built-in Firebreathing. If the opponent has no readily available answers, the result of getting this guy on the board is frequently nine to fourteen damage dished out by him by the time he's had his first attack.
I think he's the most underrated of the M11 Titans, and I give him a rock-solid 4.5/5.

I think he's underrated. Compare it to the black one. That gets you a total of 4/4 from the ability, but the red one splits 3 damage which can knock off chump blockers, and its first ability is probably better (not like deathtouch really helps a 6/6, but the red one is a mana sink in case for any reason your opponent has no blockers left). No doubt that the black one is good, but for the black one to go for over 20 while this is less than 5 makes no sense to me.

i threw him in my fauna shaman deck. amazing in the new format. wipes all infect creatures and chump blockers. i already had the cunning sparkmage plus baslisk collar combo in the deck which makes him even stronger and if my opponent can survive my vengevines they generally never have removal left for the titan.

Something a lot of people here fail to mention is that you can't really chump block him without losing something big. You can't chump block with 1/1's or 2/2's because he frys them when he enters and he toasts them when he attacks.
This is a solid Titan. And like someone said, if you give this deathtouch, you're essentially killing three creatures with each attack since he deals 3 damage divided. Take that Grave Titan :P

There's really little point in comparing the titans. Each one is a different colour, so they each do different things. Inferno Titan is more or less what the red titan should be expected to be. He deals lots of damage and does so repeatedly. This thing is scary. If you don't give him haste, by the turn you attack with him (assuming you have 7 mana in a mono-red deck), Inferno Titan swings for 13 combat damage, plus his automatic 3. Admittedly, it's a weaker combo piece than the other Titans, but this one can win you the game the first time you attack with it.

I don't see how this guy is the weakest Titan . . Inferno Titan + Mass Hysteria = instant 12 damage? Let's see how many creatures opponent will have after this thing attacks and the caster casts volcanic fallout or firespout. This also has Firebreathing which ensures opponent's demise if opponent chooses not to sack a creature. That is . . . if the opponent has any remaining creatures.

DacenOctavio: Let's not forget that the Titan can't fly unaided, yes? Anyway, this character...Well, there isn't going to be much left of your planeswalkers if you don't saddle him with something like Doom Blade or Pillory of the Sleepless (or best of all, Eradicate) in a hurry.

With prices on things like this lower, I bought the (mega-sweet) promo version of this as a 3-of for a Koth deck. It's pretty sweet against any aggro because you wipe a couple of guys off quick (especially if you've been burning any lords they might get.)
What's more? The 3 damage is stackable with your burn; so all the sudden you can Flame Slash a Hand of Emrakul, Lightning Bolt a primeval titan, or what have you. He's nigh unchumpable, often generates card advantage, he sacrifices himself to kill 9 toughness creature head on (without pumping) or if he does get through; the opponent is probably looking at 12-15 damage that turn depending where his ability was pointed and your board position.
Double-cleave as a 2-of in a deck with him might be fun :p. Note that you can drop him turn 5 with Koth, even if you just played Koth. I run him next to Deathforge Shaman and Obsidian Fireheart.
