Dang, this made my Wandering Lust + Song of Serenity deck look even clunkier ;)

This card is severely underrated. Slap down two of these and your opponent starts sweating. >:)

This card is so mean...able to transform most fatties into lumps of parasitic flesh for your opponent to try to dispose of. Fantastic; in the right deck I'd play this over Pacifism almost every time.

Staple of my White/Black deck. Always hilarious to use on walls too (how do you pillory a wall?)

This would work really well with Sleeper Agent

I remember when Guildpact first released and all my friends went nut-**** over Green/Red. They didn't care about any of the White/Black's and got like 3 Pillory of the Sleepless and a few Mortify off them. Suckers didn't know what they lost until much later :)

This and Crystallization sure beats using pacifisim; though I think Pillory of the Sleepless is the FAR better of the three, where it makes the creature useless and drains it's controller :D
Pacifisim is just so basic and dull/boring.... Me playing that was sure short lived lol...

OMG that is an awesome combo! {B} then another {1}{W}{B} to deal THREE points of damage to them on each of their turns XD That's just freakin' awesome, simple and sickning!
Never seen or heard of that Sleeper Agent card before... I almost tempted to try to get a set LOL :D

I enjoy slapping this and ragged veins on creatures in my friend's burn deck.

Here, lose a lot of life all at once, or drain. Your choice!

The reason this card lacks a race is because its a phyrexian. Kind of. Its complicated. Hence the lack of race.

pumped up Pacifism or Prison Term and even Faith's Fetters replacement for white-black - obligatory lifedrain card, preferably four of them.

@liir007: You screwed up on Treachery. Blue mana is U not B.

Can you cast this on a creature then put shroud on it?

I absolutely despise this card. Pretty much every deck I own relies on creatures, and at least three people I know run Orzhov decks. This. Freaking. Card.

@kitsunewarlock: what card are you looking at? normal auras do not have races, and Phyrexians didn't reenter magic until 4-5 years later.

Anyway, This card is amazing, allowing you to neutralize your opponents biggest creatures while making them suffer at the same time. very cheap to play as well. The only thing that could make this card better is if it prohibited activated abilities as well, although that is a bit too much to ask for at this cost. This, Faith's fetters, doomblade and Mortify make up my removal suite in my Orzhov multiplayer deck. It draws aggro really quickly, but hey, someone has to, and at least i will be able to use my opponents' life as a buffer to stay at roughly the same total while they slowly wither away as i kill their creatures as well.

So wait, let me get this straight...

Angel of Despair, Mortify, Pillory of the Sleepless, Vindicate,

....what, is W/B just the color of saying 'f### you' to your opponent?

on TOP of what White and Black individually have?
I know there is supposed to be power, but ultimately balance, in all the colors and combinations...
but something seems fishy about W/B...

Why isn't Godless Shrine a $30 card? ditto Marsh Flats. :P

10 bucks says I probably haven't even named the best White-Black card yet...

Just about reprinted in Gatecrash: One Thousand Lashes.

@ subtle-kay, more accurately, this is Pacifism with loose 1 each turn tacked on for one Black, and Lashes is Arrest with the same tacked on for 1 Black. Both look really nice for White/Black control, shutting down creatures and grinding towards a win at the same time.

Their pilloried creatures make great targets for haunt. If the get rid of the creature to stop losing life, you get all the effects, if they destroy the pillory, then there is no reason to not murder the creature.

@Darth Parallax: You did. Vindicate is the uncontested best. Some day people may look at this and laugh, but today vindicate, no contest.
