Ezuri is not very good with Eladamri, Lord of Leaves, the regenerate ability is targeted, and Eladamri gives shroud.

Cards like this make me want to create an Elf deck. Good to see another creature with an insane Overrun ability like Kamahl, Fist of Krosa. I absolutely love that ability in my mono-G deck. @StoicChampion: you do seem to be right, elves do seem to get the coolest stuff.

Finally, something to make an elf deck feasible! Wizards has been neglecting elves for too long!

This one + Eladamri is wicked. Regenerate and Shroud. Five mana is easy for any elf deck to muster, twice even.
P.S: Oops, forgot about that shroud denies the regeneration :(

Its a good thing Wizards is releasing Elf lords. We all know that elves don't stand a chance against other, unevenly supported tribes.

I'm just going to hate it how Ezuri probably makes elves a legitimate deck choice for standard, because tribal decks are about the lamest thing in Magic the Gathering. Talk about mind numbing uncreativeness.
Obviously card itself is strong though, so 4/5 for power level.

This card WOULD be good in an elf deck probably with an Oracle of Mul-Daya or something... nice card would do well with Garruk...

Everyone commenting on this card seems a little excitable. Yeah, it's good. It also dies to literally any burn spell, killing spell, and a number of creature abilities.
It's almost like it's designed so various decks can deal with the threats of various other decks. Cra-zeee.

Practical Standard usage be damned. This guy's got legacy and EDH written all over him. I can't wait to put him in my elf deck with playsets of priest and archdruid. Now ive got a 5th spender elf along with all my joraga warcallers. Instant speed overrun anyone? Too bad trample doesnt apply to blocking... Oh well! I'l just regenerate all my elves for no raisin!
4.5/5 - just caus he can't regen himself. Otherwise, the trample guy elves always wanted.

I opened this in the pre-release when I was thinking about making an EDH deck, so I went ahead and made him my general.
It's so much fun. Even some of the veterans get scared when they see this guy. With my limited experience in EDH, I doubt I could have made a deck without him as powerful as the one I have.
Anyway, there's always Asceticism when you HAVE to keep him protected, but in EDH, I figure you'll be able to get him back pretty easily if you can keep pumping out mana.

Seems like they print an insanely overpowered Elf in every set.. It also seems like Elves were meant for new players seeing as it builds itself and requires no strategy to play. That's fine by me, any decent control deck will always dominate an Elf deck.
Call me old-school, but I don't care if he's supposed to be a "Renegade Leader", he should NOT be a 2/2 body with all those abilities tacked on.

Nothing like bringing him out with a 23 card Genesis Wave then attacking with 12 33/33 elves on the next turn.

Interestingly enough, unlike Overrun his ability can be used on defense as well. Seeing as he does not need to tap to use it, it can also be used multiple times if you have the mana for it.

4.5/5 Only because he is worthless outside of his tribal deck, but man is he worth it in his tribal deck.
@ reapersaurus
I'm Okay with it. He's a Legendary and a "Leader" and he's green. For 3cmc, green has a 4/5, so a 2/2 Legendary Rare with a couple of tribal abilities isn't too bad. Red has some many low cost burn spells that do at least 2 damage that he isn't an unanswered threat. If his toughness was any lower, it would be killed by anything that does damage and if it were any higher, there wouldn't be nearly as many answers.

He's my "Back-up" plan in my dragons/titans/elves deck.
I thought Wizards didn't want humans to be greater than 2/2 so it kinda makes sense to me to have elves generally smaller than or equal to 2/2 as well.

This needs to say, : Regenerate target elf. He has a giant kill me sign on his back. That being said, I did do over 100 trample damage on turn 5 with this, Elvish Archdruid, Copperhorn Scout, and Genesis Wave.

This guy has done some pretty crazy things for me. My favorite time was when my friend and I were playing mirror decks with the only difference being I had one of this guy. I had 2 Elvish Archdruids out and lots of smaller elves out. So did the other guy so neither could gain an edge in the race so we just built up hoping to pull an Overrun...hehe!
This guy and two tapped druids twice because of Copperhorn Scouts later and I swung for 380 damage...give or take a few. I won needless to say. :)

lets see: Nissa Revane use her final (get every elf in my deck onto the field( that's about 30 )) then next turn Elvish Promenade (now i have 60) tap 2 Elvish Archdruids and attack with the lot then use Copperhorn Scout to untap the druids and tap them both again for another 60 mana (now floating 120 mana) pump it all into Azuri and swing for 2190 damage.
I have done this on the on turn 10 (only one turn after popping Nissa)

Originally, when I first got this guy, I managed to make room for him in my Elf ramp deck, mostly as a back up plan in case my ramping wasn't going anywhere, I could just Green Sun's Zenith him out and beat face. However, after a few games with him, I realized this guy is deadly. And while he's still primarily a back up plan, he alone has won me more games than I can count. This guy shouldn't be underestimated.

I remember first using this guy about a month ago, I had him on the field with 15 mana open, but he was also a distraction because my opponent thought I would use the buff ability first. Instead, I played Emrakul and then wiped out my opponent the next turn with 10/10 Elves and Emrakul.

For Elf EDH, the question is "Who is the best General?"
In terms of elves, you definitely need a strong Green presence. Cards like Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid are proof of this. Therefore, you need to be playing primarily Green (I probably don't need to tell you that).
So, here's your (legal) choices (and their pros/cons):
Edric, Spymaster of Trest - Overall great politics, gives you the chance to play some blue. Doesn't directly benefit elves.
Glissa, The Traitor - A great attacker and defender, but benefits artifacts, which isn't a very elven thing (see Viridian Corrupter/Shaman). Black is a great EDH colour, though.
Radha, Heir to Keld - Llanowar Elf General with a bonus when attacking. The effect is exceptionally underwhelming, though.
Thelon of Havenwood - Doesn't benefit elves at all, but could be played with fungi and such.
Tolsimir Wolfblood - Is generally pretty good, but since most elves aren't white, you'd be better off playing this with tokens.
Nath of Gilt-leaf - His effect doesn't benefit elves at all. He is effective with discard, though.
Savra, Queen of the Golgari - This can be good, but since the best of her effects happens when you sacrifice black creatures (a weaker elf colour), it may not work. Better as her own thing.
Glissa Sunseeker - Makes you play mono-green, and her effect is really narrow. Only play as support for your own deck.
Momir Vig, SImic Visionary - Like Savra, you can't use his effect to the fullest, but you turn each elf into a worldly tutor. Mind you, playing more than 1 elf per turn would be futile.
Maralen of the Mornsong - Doesn't include green, so just forget about her. She is quite weird though, and might be a good political general.
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord - Can work since elves are easily expendable, but works better as his own graveyard shenanigan general.
Yeva, Nature's Herald - This might be a good choice, but she doesn't win you the game directly. She is a great card to play in an elf deck, though.
Kaysa - A weaker version of Tolsimir Wolfblood, and you're restricted to green. You're better off with other generals.
Rhys the Exiled - Turns each of his attacks into a Wellwisher tap. Doesn't require another colour to be played, so you can use him with a slight bit of black (for Damnation and tutors).
Mayael the Anima - Her effect doesn't help elves, since there are so few elves with power greater than 5.
After this analysis, Ezuri still seems like the strongest elf general. He can guzzle mana and put it to good use. His first regen ability isn't as abusable as his overrun (since you should play Eladamri in your deck anyway), but it's still pretty effective (and gives your opponents reason to play Wrath of God over Day of Judgement).
After Ezuri, you could play Edric, Eladamri, both Rhys', Momir Vig, and Yeva. The others aren't as effective as these.

Joraga Treespeaker at level 5 makes it so every time I block I can regenerate my elf. They all tap for 2 and cost 2 to revive. Copperhorn Scout means I can regenerate any of them whenever I attack. Probably not the easiest way to exploit this guy, Elvish Archdruid obviously seems a lot more consistent. I just really like the fact that I can use the mana the elf produces itself to revive it.

Thelon of Havenwood - Doesn't benefit elves at all, but could be played with fungi and such.
Tolsimir Wolfblood - Is generally pretty good, but since most elves aren't white, you'd be better off playing this with tokens.
