I like how her weapon is basically a straight-razor on a stick. Her RR ability is great for getting out red pew-pew spells like lightning bolt or fiery conclusion.

Is she carrying a mage slayer?

My friend told me that if you open up a booster with her on the art, you get two rares or you get a planeshifted rare (like Serra Sphinx), to be quite honest I don't remember. I still don't believe him, but he's never lied before...

you get 2 rares, all the Planar chaos legends are alternate universe cards (excluding Urborg, Tome of Yawgmoth)

Def. one of the most versitle elves. Easy to throw out cheap red spells and a built on llany ability !! Oh, yeah did i mention 2 casting cost for a 2/2 !! The cost, the abilities def. gives this card a 5/5 !! There are just too many uses for this card.

She is a keldon warlord, she even has the warlord ability in the timespiral books. I am so mad that the card itself doesn't. Did they never think of it or did they think keldon warlord was too powerful? >:O

She would make an interesting general for an EDH deck

Since she was printed, WotC has removed her only potential drawback (the risk of mana-burn).

So its basically an auto-include for any red/green deck, at least imho

Signifigantly better w/o mana burn, since you don't have to have an instant to avoid burning I certainly like it

im a little confused as to why this costs so little ($0.25 on starcitygames.com) its a pretty damn awesome card for GR: mana ramp, mana during combat...

Everyone talking about mana burn issues:

THE CARD SAYS "YOU MAY". RTFC.

Cool, so I can cast 2 Searing Blaze with landfall on turn 3.

Lateralis0ne: No, it was a fair complaint when mana burn existed. You couldn't cast a Bolt off her attack without leaving R in your pool to burn you, for example.

I love how she's awesome as a general she's somewhat disposable. Usually when your general hits the field it signs it's own death certificate but Radha comes out early and lets you play your real threats with mana acceleration and without letting up on the aggro.
It was a let down when I found out I couldn't float the RR she makes to my second main phase but that doesn't keep her from being awesome. (Still the biggest let down since I learned that Sigil Captain effects don't stack though :( )

Pretty awesome considering there is no more mana burn.
The mana gained from attacking with her is only useful for instants or abilities that can be played as instants so there are many times when it might not have a good use.
A big drawback people aren't talking about is the Legendary status.

One of the sexier illustrations in Magic. I love the perspective, it's like you're lying on the ground and the flavor text is her talking to you.

Which previous card is she referencing?
Wprundv
★★★★☆ (4.3/5.0) (3 votes)
With mana burn gone she now plays a little differently. Now she doesn't hurt you with the extra mana but what you can use it on is more limited due to mana pools emptying at the end of steps as opposed to just phases. Now you can only use the RR during declare attackers.

Fast general who can also be quite useful in the late game. In my EDH deck, I've found she works quite well with War Cadence and Captive Flame. She's also very nice for flipping morph creatures such as Krosan Colossus early. She's one of those generals who probably won't be targeted right away in a multiplayer game since people may not consider her to be worth their removal depending on what others are playing. The only problem is helping her not die when she attacks.

Is everyone else's standards THAT bad or are mine just too darn high?!? I think her body is sexy, but her face is, pretty manly. Not exactly jumping up & down over here especially since I like my women to be feminen, but to each his own I guess :-\

Werewolf EDH anyone?

There wasn't really any issue of mana burn with her unless you left a R or RR in the pool. Her effect has the word "may", which means optional. You can choose not to add that mana to your mana pool when she attacks. Unlike Magus of the Vineyard which is a forced adding mana to the mana pool.

@Wataa71

Only if you have something that'll allow you to play it as an instant, since the only time the two red mana are available is during the combat phase, more specifically the declare attackers step that Wprundv mentioned.

Could eaily be comboed with Psychotic Fury since it gives you an eaxtra draw and Radha is multicolored and gives you {R}{R} when she attacks which is perfect to pay the cost and catch the defending opponent off guard.
DoragonShinzui
★★★★☆ (4.7/5.0) (3 votes)
The problem is, that red mana is only going to be available during that combat phase. Basically, you get free red combat tricks with her. Brute Force is an obvious choice, especially if combined with Kindled Fury, but any creature, sorcery, enchantment, etc. isn't going to be useful to her.

Still, she's really well designed and a lot of fun. Combat tricks and instant speed burn abound, and just tapping a la Llanowar Elves is another handy trick. A very cheap, very efficient beater with utility.

Adventurers' Guildhouse will save her from dying to add that RedRed, by banding her with Silvos, Rogue Elemental or Thrun, the Last Troll. Just assign most combat damage to the regenerating/banded guy. Old school rules, but even today, still could be relevant...just confusing. Basically, banding means: you get to assign combat damage between all banded stuff. Of course, Unquestioned Authority or equipment giving protection from stuff would be somewhat easier.

A nice low cost commander. My only complaint is that she doesn't work too well with hasty creatures because you don't get the RedRed until after she attacks.

@Blurrymadness

You can bloodrush after blockers are declared too. All you have to do is use it on an attacking creature. Doesn't say when.

I have a buddy who uses this in a bloodrush deck; this card practically makes the deck tick. It's unfortunate that he has to bloodrush before you declare blockers though; making that advantage less awesome.

She's great for G/R burn-aggro though; as you can throw a few spells out while staying on your aggro-creature curve. Being able to throw out up to {R}{R}{R}{R}{R} in burn spells on T3 is pretty spectacular. Searing Blaze + flame javelin for a beautiful 7 to the face + 2 from her attacking. Seeing half of your life total blow away along with your board position should be disconcerning to almost any opponent.

She has grand synergy with Manaplasm as well.

EDIT: @Rancid_Raptor
My comment didn't "show my work" so to speak. Basically, the mana she adds will be gone before blockers are declared so if you use her for bloodrush you'll have to use the mana before it goes away.

A fairly new card that works quite nicely with Radha is Pyrewild Shaman.

I guess surprisingly, works well with morph...

At the very very worst can add {G}
Narsus
☆☆☆☆☆ (0.0/5.0)
Things that go well with Radha's ability:

Moonveil Dragon
Kessig Wolf Run
War Cadence
Rogue's Passage
Whispersilk Cloak (doesn't utilize the mana directly, but it lets her attack freely)
Savage Beating

Of course, Bloodrush cards, such as:
Pyrewild Shaman (Effectively free, minus the recycling cost!)
Wrecking Ogre (Effectively costs only 3 with her attacking!)
Skarrg Goliath (Effectively costs only 3GG with her attacking!)

Outside of the splashy EDH cards, there's (discussed by plenty of folks here already):
Brute Force
Searing Blaze
Lightning Bolt
Psychotic Fury
Double Cleave
Viashino Shanktail

Aggressively costed, useful at almost any time, and on top of that, she's got great artwork.
