it's the worst rare enchantment there is if you're going against an opponent with tons of creatures with trample, and especially now that a creature such as Meglonoth exists. but this could be useful for devouring, or if you have a set of Mad Auntie.

This isn't the *worst*, but it can be pretty useless (or detrimental) at times. Does anyone know if it forces your opponents' goblins to attack each turn, though, or just yours?

they're going to serve two years for that

Interesting. It kind of kills all the normal person plans for Goblin decks... On the other hand, my token-loving self is extremely tempted to love it, but it works better if it's not in a specifically Goblin deck, but rather just one card in a token deck. That way you're not compromising your whole strategy, just introducing a stinging new facet to your gameplay.

On the one hand, it stops you creating a large army of Goblins for attacking/devour.

On the other hand, it's not bad combined with Fecundity or Scarland Thrinax.

Pretty sure it would affect all goblins, ie your opponents as well. If you can combine it with something like Sigil Captain or In the Web of War your opponents are dealing with 3 damage coming their way.

Similar to Bitterblossom, it's definitely not bad, although you may want to avoid it if your packing any goblins in your deck.

Not meant to goblin decks. Great for a deck that is low on creatures, you can just "set this and forget". Even better for a Devour devour deck, and at three CMC, you can play this pretty early on to have a good pact for a devour. Except no one plays devour in Standard Tournaments. Only in amateur.

pity this is unlike Bitterblossom not a tribal enchantment ;)
talking about tribal - is that card type dead now Morningtide is gone?
i've already seen a bunch of card that could have used it yet didn't...

This would have been much better, if it would be like that:

Goblin Assault 2R

At the beginning of your upkeep, put a 1/1 red Goblin creature token onto the battlefield that attack each turn if able.
Goblin creatures you control have haste.

Great card, even if its' forcing your Goblins to attack, your still getting more anyway. ^_^

tribal is not exactly dead, but it is not in standard anymore, but tribal and extended and legacy can still see tribal cards played

Its definetly not for every deck but it can be quite nasty. It can provide Sac food for the Eldrazi Monument and it also feeds ur siege-gang commander so you can clear the board and keep swinging. It can be searched out with Bloodbraid Elves and it helps ramp up the counters for a Beastmaster Ascension. Im currently in the process of getting the cards for a deck im building around these cards. I think it can out swing straight eldrazi green. Ill find out soon enough. :)

There are two casual decks where I really enjoy playing this card. One includes things like Primal Forcemage, Ooze Garden, Hamletback Goliath, Elemental Mastery, etc... Swing with the goblins and other haste tokens every round, then sac to the Garden if a forcemage is on the table. Janky but fun.

The other deck is similar but uses Dralnu's Crusade and the various zombie lords like Death Baron and the Undead Warchief.

Specifically for a token spitter, I'd prefer Awakening Zone.

This isn't half bad at all! It can completely offset the whole strategy of your opponents goblin deck, and it gives you a creature to attack with every turn. And if you don't lose them every turn, they can be used for devour. There are def. going to be games where you are running the board and all your opponents creatures have been wiped off or they don't run many. Also can attack for 1 damage every turn if your opponent has only 1/1's or 2/1's out and they won't be able to block unless they want to lose their creatures. GOod times!

I want to see this plus Beastmaster Ascension .
Turn 3: Goblin Assault
Turn 4: Beastmaster Ascension (If u drop a land u should have at least 2 to 3 creatures attacking this turn if they have haste.) 2counters.
Turn 5: another land and creature or another Goblin Assault 3-5counters.
Turn 6-7: Play whatever These turns, If u have 2 Goblin Assault u basically from turn 6 up have at least 2 6/6 goblins attacking each turn.

I use this in my devour deck along with Dolmen Gate and sometimes Skirk Prospector if I'm in need for some quick mana. The Gate gets rid of the drawback on Assault on top of being awesome just by itself.

I'm not sure that the drawback is much of a drawback - if you're playing a Goblin deck and not attacking each turn, you're doing it wrong.

Nah, perfect for goblin decks. Not good for careful combo seeking goblin decks with Warren Instigator, Goblin Lackey, Siege Gang Commander, etc, but you are all missing then the basic way that goblins should work. Which is to say.. "Forward Gobbos!! Attack Attack Attack!! Run into their swords and die horribly for your cause!!" To that effect, this card is super awesome for the use of Boggart Shenanigans, Raid Bombardment, Goblin Grenade, and Quest for the Goblin Lord. I'm sprinkling in Mogg War Marshalls, Dragon Fodder, Goblin Warrens, Hissing Iguanars, and hereby pronouncing it Nasty. Death by a hundred flea bitten moggies.

I think a lot of people are ignoring the most straightforward uses. First, this is great at generating token fodder. Second, board-affecting equipment like Umezawa's Jitte and Sword of Fire and Ice never goes without a body with this out. Still behind Bitterblossom, but in toting powerful equipments, the haste is terriffic.

Goblins don't have to attack every turn?
SocialExperiment

Judging from the wording of the card, you could sideboard this against a Goblin deck and force your opponent to attack every turn. Risky, but if you can wipe out the attackers (or just play Fog or something) then you've got little to no resistance if you attack on your turn.

EDIT: I like how it evidently never occurred to Past Me that Goblin decks are either attacking every turn or losing.

hah, those silly little goblins think they're gonna get to attack. little do they know that I'm just using them to feed my contamination.

This could be, in turn, like Plague Sliver.

I mean, you wouldn't want to attack with all your goblins all the time. Sometimes, when things go sour, you need to block, right?

What is this? So much hate for this card. Why is the rating so low? It's less than 3!!

This card is really good for getting out lots of fodder, as well as always having a creature to attack with. I use it in my Tajic EDH deck to enable battalion, carry equipment when my commander isn't around, and for skullclamp.

Also, this is NOT secret tech to hose goblin decks. This is just a pure fodder engine with a drawback.

ugh. people on the Mothership keep pointing to this card for how artists do 'scale'.

this card does not demonstrate the principles they *want* it to very well.

the dinosaur beast-monster in the background looks to be about puppy dog sized to me.

the way that all the different visual tricks were used to try to convey size, they went accidentally overboard and I feel like these goblins are ant-sized, and this whole card is basically "Jurassic Park" meets "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!"

Now, I like this effect, because it's kind of unique, and I'm glad it accidentally happened to goblins, and not some other card, because it's okay for goblins to have stupid things like that :) XD

but the people raving about genius artists are and how this card shows how absolutely huge the creature....they never talk about how small it makes the cardholder feel in this kooky "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!" way, which makes me thinking they're missing something and don't always understand what they're talking about. :P

1) Keep them alive and dealing damage for as long as you want with Kyren Negotiations.
2) Goblin bombardment isn't bad for the ones that get blocked by beefy defenders.
3) Or throw in a Helm of Possession, to sacrifice one of your opponent's creatures to the bombardment each turn.
4) This is the second best card in my Goblin Assassin deck.
5) Great prior to a Jokulhaups.
