Ok so with the return to token creature deck being the new thing this card has gone almost completely unknownest. Its a Glorious Anthem for Goblin alone, but wait your Goblins are now Goblin Zombies. Combine this with Goblin Assualt and Deadapult to make endless Goblin Zombie Shocks.
This is good if you are playing a goblin zombie deck.

This card is awesome. Not only does it pump up your goblins, it gives them another nice creature type, and makes them black, giving them invulnerability to various black spells such as Doom Blade and Vendetta.

i got this in one of the first booster packs i ever bought, screamed for me to build a deck around it, my edh deck is practically built around it.
This card belongs in any deck - especially those with goblins in it that want to become zombies. Now, if they only made a card that turned Kavu into unicorns....
Q: Do the Gobbos stop being Red after this drops, or do they become Red/Black?

Goblins get smarter by becoming zombies?....... that's really sad.

@eataTREE: You'll notice it doesn't say "in addition to their other colors".This characteristic-defining ability doesn't care at all what color they used to be (and you're only assuming that color was red!).

Not smarter just more effective warriors. This card is dripping with flavor because the very essence of a goblin invasion is to be overwhelmed by great numbers of goblins despite the fact that they are small relatively ineffective warriors on an individual basis. The primary disadvantage from a lore standpoint is that the "average" goblin is a coward, therefore, turning them into zombies takes away one of their primary weaknesses.(their proclivity to flee from a fight)
