Considering Fervor is 2R, not really. Obviously the cheapest they could of made this is 3R. Also, Haste can still be very useful in the mid-late game.

It's not bad, just not amazing. I prefer madrush cyclops, since it works on anything on the battlefield, not just things that just came in, and gives you a 3/4 body, plus costs less (although tri colored) mana. Would go amazing with lightning coils. "Bash! 30 points of hasty damage coming at you!"

Clearly meant for a red/green deck, followed by a 10/8 Terra Stomper on the next turn and a 9/7 Pelakka wurm on the next. Of course, also works with any Eldrazi.

@AXER: That would not work, as this triggers on ETB, and gaining control of a creature does not make it ETB.
