As much as I play against goblins locally, I'm surprised I don't see this guy get played much. He seems like a really solid 2 drop.

I love this guy--a first-striking Ball Lightning is hilarious!--but his lack of use just indicates the problem with first strike. Whenever players have a choice between granting first strike and something like granting +1/+1, or haste, or flying, or nearly anything else, the latter sees play. It might just be that decks haven't figured out how to optimize the advantage first strike offers.
