Cheap to play and a nice early flying creature, great in any zombie deck or any black deck that wants some protection from white. Come late game its amazing at keeping angels at bay such as Baneslayer. Also keep in mind that since the newest coreset we have much worse issues with white removal.

He's certainly good at what he does! Very versatile, excellent card. Can really do some damage in a zombie deck with lord of the undead, death baron, cemetary reaper, undead warchief, and zombie master. I made a deck with all of them!

Right on. The main weaknesses of a Zombie Tribal Deck are flying creatures and white removal. This guy fills the gap and with Lor of the Undead, and/or Zombie Master, he regens after blocking those damned angels. With enough zombie lords, he can kill Baneslayer!
While I am aware that nothing in this deck will save your creatures from your Wraths except for Knight Exemplar, I opted to use 1 instead of 4 of it deliberately- this deck has some really awe-inspiring potential, without being 'too much' for most playgroups to handle. It DOES however, pretty much *f* *u* nearly any and all SPOT removal cards in the game! ^_^
Kaalia was just an afterthought once I realized that the Knight Tribe happened to be very well-suited to her- nothing like an army of Knights being led by a Champion Angel, Demon, or Dragon! And the conflicts of Kaalia being somehow angelic and demonic are just awesome when you think of Knights of the 'wrong' color being teamed with Akroma or Griselbrand! :D
Though, if your running the crusader verse a mono black deck, its going to be a nightmare to deal with. Sacrifice, discard, and sweepers are the only hope.

Figure the mana out yourself, but I surmise that Clifftop Retreatx4 Dragonskull Summitx4 and Isolated Chapelx4 would be good places to start :)
